It was now Friday, the Defence lesson had been on Wednesday and Harry and Draco had found themselves with more homework then they thought humanly possible. They were in a dark corner of the library as most of their year had found themselves with the same fate as they had and the common room was rammed and noisy.
Draco looked up from his potions essay on Amortentia and looked at Harry sat in the chair opposite him, he was bent over his parchment, stopping every few sentences to dip his quill in ink then going back to furiously scrawling his essay on Dementors that Draco had finished earlier that night.
Even when Harry was stressed he looked hot, Draco thought, his raven black hair was sticking out everywhere just the way he liked it, his brows were furrowed in concentration and his face was bent over that much that he had to keep pushing his round glasses up his nose every few seconds when they slid down. Sighing contentedly Draco went back to his essay.
Harry thought his hand was about to fall off. He was nearly done with his Defence essay on Dementors, although he was pretty sure he'd written way more than necessary, he didn't want to feel like he was getting a good grade just because Remus was teaching him. He looked up, he had noticed earlier that Draco was staring at him but he didn't seem to mind, in fact, he quite liked it- maybe his feelings for the blond were being reciprocated.
Finding himself staring, Harry watched Draco work, the way his quill seemed to flow across the page with seemingly no effort, the few loose hairs that hung about his forehead when he took away his hand from resting it there. Harry noticed for the first time the tiny flecks of dark grey in his silver eyes, something you would only notice from intense staring.
He looked back down to his essay realising he was done. Hearing a small cough he looked up and his eyes locked with grey ones and he felt himself blush.
"Yes?"
"Are you finished? You've written way more than I did I'm sure it will be fine- besides you should know more about them than the rest of the class, you don't exactly need to read up"
He said this with a smile on his face but Harry could see the sadness behind his eyes, Remus had told Draco that he didn't have to do the essay, due to this father receiving his fate from Dementors, but Draco had rather Gryffndor-Esque told Lupin that he didn't want any special treatment and reassured him he would be fine with the essay, then with a smile especially as Harry was there to help him. Harry was there, and he thought "always would be".
Snapping back from his daydream he nodded,
"Yep, oh, by the way, it's Hogsmeade on Saturday, do you want to go?"
Draco looked surprised,
"With you, you mean?"
"Yeah you dipshit, I wouldn't ask if I didn't want you to come with me"
"Alright you prat"
With that they collected their things and headed back to the common room.
It was early on Saturday morning, Harry could tell this as it was still dark outside. His head was tucked under Dracos arm and his arms were strewn across his chest while Dracos were wrapped protectively around Harry. He didn't know when they started sharing a bed but all Harry knew is that after the first time Harry had a nightmare in front of Draco and he had woken him up, Draco refused to let Harry sleep alone. He didn't have any more nightmares after that.
He lifted his head to watch Draco sleep, it sounded creepy only he looked so peaceful when he slept that Harry couldn't help it. Dracos lashes fluttered and Harry put his head back down.
"I know your awake idiot"
Harry huffed and pouted,
"I didn't mean to wake you up"
