"oh come on Mon-El! you've got to have feelings for someone! who is it?" a fourteen year old Kara asked.

"you can't get it out of me that easily. how about this, i'll give you some hints and you try and guess." he replied.

Kara nodded.

"okay, let's see, well she's beautiful with blue eyes." Mon-El said making eye contact with the girl that sat across from him. "she's kind and caring." he continued.

Kara looked deep into his eyes and started to notice how after every hint he would move himself closer to her.

"she's got these perfect golden locks." he moved even closer. "she believes in me, even when my family doesn't." she could practically feel his breath "she's my favorite person in this entire universe." he leaned his forehead against hers. "and she happens to be my best friend."

Kara closed her eyes as they sat in that position, foreheads leaned against each other, noses touching, smiling like idiots before the silence broke as Mon-El spoke.

"care to take a guess on who it is?"

"i think i have a pretty good idea on who it is."

"and do you think that person feels the same way?"

"she definitely does." Kara told the boy before closing the gap between them as she placed her lips on his.

he smiled into the kiss as he pulled her closer. once they finally pulled away they both let out a content sigh.

"you have no idea how long i've wanted to do that." Mon-El told her.

"i think i have a pretty good idea." she replied as she took a new seat in his lap. "this is perfect."

"but Kara, this isn't real. you have to wake up." he told her.

she looked up at him abruptly before this memory started to fade away.

"supergirl?" no answer.

"SUPERGIRL?!"

Kara opened her eyes suddenly, registering what had just happened. it was only a dream.

"yeah Alex i'm here. what is it?" she asked her sister.

"alien attack on fourth and main."

"alright. i'm on it." Kara replied as she flew down from her spot in the sky.

Kara landed in the DEO after defeating the alien.

she walked down the steps to be greeted by her sister and co-workers, although she considered them friends.

"good win today, Supergirl. the alien you took down is now in containment." J'onn told her.

Kara nodded with a slight and smile and made her way to lean against the round desk that was placed near the center of the room. she seemed off. it was like someone had taken some of her happiness.

"you got anything else for me?" Kara asked.

"nope. seems that besides the alien, things have been pretty quiet throughout the city." Alex told her sister as she stood on the other side of the table.

Kara nodded and smiled slightly. "alright, cool, then i'm going to go home and relax. Alex you're going out with Maggie tonight, right?"

Alex nodded and smiled, a slight blush placing itself on her cheeks.
