chapter 16: Genki, stato!

(Translation: "Game, start!")

~ one week of training later ~

Chan and Felix were sitting by the Honey Loaf tree as they watched Nina riding Jeong-in while Chae-nun was trying to teach her how to ride without using a bridle. "Anyway, catch!" Said JB as he tossed a rope to her which she caught. "Tie that around the horn, make sure it's tight so that I won't lose you two. Luko really likes to run off." He said. "Touchè JB, touchè." Said Changbin, though the humans except Kevin, Ally, and the pakari heard a nicker.

Rosè soon walked over to her fellow aussies as she sat down next to them as Tao sat with her. "I still can't believe that you guys are finally dating!" Felix said with star in his eyes. Tao chuckled a bit as he nodded. "I kinda always wanted to know what romantic love felt like anyway, plus she's to perfect~" said Tao. The two looked at eachother in the eyes as Rosè blushed at her lover. "GET A ROOM!!!!" Tori yelled from afar. "Excuse me miss horse-expert! But there are no rooms-" "except the stables behind us." Said Changbin.

"That does it ya dork!" Tori yelled as she started chasing Changbin and Tao while the two boys were in their animal forms. The three soon fell on top of each other and started laughing as Tao thrn smacked Tori on her butt. "Ow! Ok ok, I'm done!" She yelled.

Tao helped his two friends back up to their feet as Tori then started to get worried. "What's up with you?" Asked Tao. "Well, remember those team tryouts? The tournaments are today." She answered. Tao quickly turned back into a human and facepalmed. "What?" "Get on Chan, Ally get on Lix. I'm helping you girls out!" Said Tao. "Thank you Tao!" "It's really no problem, my jagiya would kill if I didn't help out her old rider's students." Said Tao as Rosè giggled while shaking her head. Tao and Ro then started to set up an obstacle course for the three riders as Bianca started to guide them through by Facetime. "Ha dul set, and go!" She said as the practice game started.

Yeonjun watched his sister and her friends go through the obstacle course as Chae-nun sighed. "What's up noona? Did something happen?" He asked. Chae-nun looked at the outskirts of the beautiful land as she watched her sister play around with Jeong-in and Jisung. "Is it about college?" Asked Yeonjun, looking at his sister worriedly as she nodded. "Well, yeah. Of course it is, what if you guys get into trouble without me knowing? What if something bad happens?" Chae-nun then sighed before smiling.

"I think your getting the horse-riding-virus." Said San. "Eh, what do you mean?" Asked Chae-nun as she nervously chuckled. "Once a rider, always a rider." They said. Chae-nun then smiled and giggled at her brothers while holding her tears back. "Heck yeah, I've got the best virus ever!" She said as Changbin headbutted her gently while the young rider started to pet him. He then started to nicker as he then changed to human. Changbin then hugged her all of a sudden.

"Nunnie, don't cry! Your gonna do great, I just know it." He said. Nina and her two friends then came up to see what the commotion was about. "Chae-nun?" She asked as Chae-nun froze in her moment. "Your leaving for college soon, aren't you?" Chae-nun looked at her little sister and nodded. "I'm gonna miss you, ya know that?" She asked. Nina nodded as she then hugged her sister. The older sister was already seeing that her younger was holding back her tears of losing someone precious to her.

"I'll only be gone for a while, but I'm gonna miss the tournament. Me and Changbin are in endurage after all." Chae-nun said, lifting everyone's spirits. "Are you ok with that Changbin-" "oh c'mon Chae, you humans helped us pakari out a lot back there. It's our turn to help you!" He said, cutting his friend off. "Speaking of racing, we better get ready! Let's go guys!" Said Ally as she and tge other humans started getting ready for the tournament.

~ hours later ~

"Tao, Hyunjin, no- MOTHA FACKAS!!!!!" Tori shouted, not even realizing that Ally and Nina were behind her. "Why are they popping in the stall like that?" Asked Ally. Tori was busy looking at the two as Nina pulled Tao out as he belted and baaed.  She then held her nose as she called for Rosè. "Yup?" She asked while swallowing something in horse form. "By any chance do you know how to clean lamb ice dragon poop?" Nina asked as Ro tried her best to hold in her laugh. "Ro!" Nina whined while waving her arms while carrying Tao in the other. "You know that you could just ask Kevin or JB about that. Plus, he poops out snow, it'll melt." Said Ro.

Tao wringled in Nina's arms as he looked at his . . . . . . . . Butt.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Can you put me down though? Don't worry, I'll cheer you guys on!" Nina nodded as she rubbed Tao's head and set him down next to Rosè. "Last practice before we go ladies and gents, speed round!" Said JB as he got on Jinyoung while Jennie hopped onto Rosè. Everyone soon separated into team as Tao started the timer. "One two three, jump!" Tao then kicked a random dead tree as it rolled down towards the riders. Rosè and Eric were alreasy used to this as they jumped over it while the others tried their best to avoid it. The teams then separated as Tao hopped onto Rosè while Jennie kept him close to her as Tao rest his head on her neck.

"Careful Jagi, I don't want you to fall!" Said Ro. "Jagiya, I love you to much~ I'll be ok." Rosè nodded as she and Eric jumped over another falling tree.

Jennie and Kevin high fived as they then reached the way out while Tori came in after them. They heard Felix neigh happily as Chan neighed back. "The heck are those guys talking about?" Asked Tori. "They're just encouraging each other." Ally answered as Kevin nodded.

The two aussies then reared up. "AAAAHH!!!!! Chan!" Chris giggled as he was only teasing Tori for fun. The Choi siblings soon came out as Chae-nun hopped off of Changbin while Nina got off of Jeong-in. "Luko, stay here while I run from an angry unnie!" Said Nina as she patted the young horse. The younger sister then instantly started to dash away from the older girl as she chased her. "Mei Mei!!!" Chae-nun shouted as they playfully argued while Tao casually watched them. "There's always something weird with human relatives, I don know what that is." He said. Jeong-in nickered, Changbin nickered, almost all of the boys nickered as they tried to explain human sibling rivalry that happens on a daily basis.

"Welp, practice is done. All we need is a team name for you eight." Said Kevin as the girls and pakari started thinking. "Pakari pals?" Asked Nina as she then got smacked by someone's tail. "TAO, YOUR TAIL IS A GIANT NEEDLE!!!!" "Payback for dropping me! >:^" he said. The group of teens started thinking more as the pakari looked at eachother.

"Hmmmm, I think I got it!" Said Chan as everyone turned to him. "This might sound cheesy though-" "just shoot it out, it could be cool." Said Rosè as Ally translated what the two horses were saying. Tori then hopped down from Chan as he turned to his human form as his ears flicked.

"What about~ Stray Kids?"
