Hello Jane Austen

Did you know when you put pen to paper

Your words would start a revolution

Jane Austen

Did you ever feel alone or wonder if

It all was really worth it

My eyes are tired,

My deep desires

Are dwindling like

The light of dying stars

But you kept pushing

Your words kept hurting

The world was never

The same after you

Tell me what to do, Jane Austen

I don't think

I can keep this going

I've worked my life to be

A strong independent being

Scowling in the face of adversity

But the harder I try

And the more that I think

I seem to fall away

But you, Jane Austen

You kept writing

Kept your head held high

I swear that I could never

Be like you

In all my life
