Chapter 21

Maya's POV

If someone would have told me a year ago, that I would be in a beautiful cabin in the woods, all cuddled up on the couch while it's raining outside. That I would be staring at my gorgeous girlfriend who is only a few feet away in the kitchen, making me some tea. That I would be so in love with her, that I can't stop smiling.

I would definitely laugh in their face.

This morning when I woke up, I would have never guessed my day would end like this. It didn't start all that great, but now I can't imagine it any better than this.

Alex is without a doubt the most gorgeous woman in the world. Wearing her usual black sweater and her not so usual sweatpants, she still looks elegant as always. She could probably pull off a trash bag, like it was made for her.

"Like what you see?"

I almost jump as Alex shakes me from my thoughts. She didn't even look up from the magazine she is reading.

"Maybe" I smile resting my head in my hand.

"Maybe?" she laughs, looking up at me. I only shrug but keep looking at her with a smile on my face.

She has been flipping through a magazine at the counter while waiting for the water to boil. She knows that I like my cup of tea before bed.

I am not planning on sleeping anytime soon but I would never say no too my cup of tea, especially when she makes it.

I watch her every move till she finally walks over to me. She hands me my cup and takes her place next to me again.

"Thank you baby" I whisper and immediately take a sip. I put my feet up on the couch and lay back in her arms while we continue to watch the movie.

This is probably movie number five. This is the most we have ever watched. The weather was perfect, the couch is so comfortable and nobody bothered us in any way. There is no signal here so Lily can't even text us. I was a bit concerned that they would worry where we are but right now, I don't even care. I don't want to think about them.

They know I am safe with her.

Only a few minutes later the movie ended along with my amazing cup of tea. It still hasn't stopped raining and I couldn't be happier.

"What do you want to watch now?" she asks leaving a few kisses on my head.

"Nothing" I whisper and turn my body towards her to place my face in her neck. I can feel her smile as I leave soft kisses in her neck.

"Do you want to go to bed baby?"

"Yes please"

Alex's POV

After I switched off all the lights, I went to our room and found Maya still busy in the bathroom. It's sounds like she is showering so I just get comfortable on the bed.

It really feels unreal that we are finally alone. Nobody is going to ruin our morning by barging through the door or calling to check in.

I already changed into my sleepwear which is just a black shirt and some black shorts. I know Maya likes it when I wear these. It gets me some extra affection.

I really wanted to read her mind today. I just want to know if she is comfortable or nervous with us being alone for the first time. We have been alone before, but this is a little different.

I don't know if she remembers what I said about taking her away. I have been thinking about that all day but I don't want to pressure her in any way. And besides it doesn't have to happen on the first night, right? We have all the time in the world.
