It looked like both of them are playing with arrows at their own will. Arjun started enjoying the duel.He never witnessed Krishna fight ,though Khandav Dahan is the exception. Then he is totally immersed in fighting with devas that he had no chance to see his Madhav fight. Now he could see his stance,his grip his skill in shooting arrows. He is responding to Krishna's arrows at the last moment since he will be absorbed in admiring the man he love the most.
Krishna is no different. He in turn is finding his Parth play with arrows. He is effortless. The ease with which he is countering his narachas made him proud .

Both the friends used all kinds of arrows Kshura,naracha etc..But when the fight is between equals how could it be decisive?

For Arjun the duel is like his early morning practice. Nothing more than that. Arjun gazed at his beloved friend ardently. The peacock feather,the yellow garment,the Vyjayantimala,the strikingly handsome looks.. Krishna shouted " Parth.. Shoot the arrow in time. You will get hurt..Arjun alerted himself and just managed to strike Krishna's arrow.

How long will you both play like this? Enough.use Astras now. Balram thundered.Bheem goaded Arjun" Finish it off. Make Kanha enter Indraprasth as our cousin. Nothing is impossible for you."

Krishna started with Parjanyastr. The clouds covered the sky above and caused darkness. Arjun hurled Vayavyastra and dispelled the clouds.

Arjun sent Agneyastr and Krishna pacified it with Varunastra.
The intensity of the war gradually enhanced making the surroundings get the heat of the moment.

The intensity of the duel magnified with both of them hurling Astras to find the other one nullify them successfully. There is noindication of any one showing any kind of fatigue or tension . Both immersed seriously into the exhibition of skills that became a treat to even the celestials watching them from heaven.
Indra was perturbed and went to Brahma." Isn't it time to stop them? The heat of the Astras is causing effect on the three worlds. Why is sage Galav bent upon destroying the balance of the universe?

Brahma nodded his head." But how could we stop Narayan? For that matter your son also is stubborn and won't retreat from battle." He remarked.
Indra has a proud smile on his face." I must confess.. Even Narayan can not defeat him. They both will emerge equals in every way."

Sankar Shiv ordered Brahmadev." Go and stop the battle. Let Krishna kill Chitrasen but you get him back to life. Arjun's word also should be kept.

Uma Parvati said." Ask that sage to practice samyam and stay away from this kind of misdeeds. As a Brahmin he should have forgiven Chitrasen."

The earth shook slightly much to the horror of people who have no idea what is going on that made such impact.

Brahma scolded his son Narad." Had your fill? Why do you take pleasure in creating misunderstandings? Go to Yudhishtir and bring him to war place.

Satya Panchali and Subhadra rushed to the spot gasping for breath. After the earth shook slightly they could not stay away and disregarded Balram's order.

Panchali stared at her Arjun who closed his eyes chanting the mantra of may be a devastating Astra the power of which made his whole form shone with great splendour.
Satya understood her Swami is on the verge of hurling the invincible Narayanastra?
Subhadra with tearful eyes looked at Arjun. Will he hurl Brahmasir on her brother?

A big hallow surrounded the chariots making both the Warriors invisible .
The birds in the sky stopped flying,the animals stood still Yamuna freezed with fear.
The Sun hid under the clouds. Celestials shivered with fear. Is this the end of creation?
Krishna and Arjun opened their eyes and took aim. Arjun stretched his string to his ear as Gandiv thrummed with menace.
Suddenly Brahmadev's voice is heard.' Stop it both of you.. Don't go ahead.
Yudhishtir raised his hand and called out." Arjun! Enough. No more fighting now. I order you "
Brahma said." Narayan stop the fight. You both are Nar Narayan. Equals in every way. No result will be seen even if you prolong the war."
