Y/n's POV

The students crowding were whispering and chuckling at Chan's remark. I was trembling in Chan's grip. Afraid of what she'd do to me after this was over.

"S-she... s-sh.." I tried to speak but only came out as a whisper in Chan's ear.

"What's wrong?" Chris whispered pulling my face in front of his, "what about her?"

"S-she's the o-one who..." I gulped, "w-who made my w-wound like this."

I finished and quickly placed my head back in his neck, hugging him tightly. Even if I couldn't see his face, I could tell he was glaring at Seo-yeon.

"I'm gonna beat her..." I heard chan growl.

{I cringed too much^^}

I unwrapped my legs from Chan's waist and placed my legs on the ground. His face contorted in confusion. I smiled at him and pecked his lips.

Without a word, I turned to face Seo-yeon. She still had a menacing glare but as I approached her eyes widened and she stepped back. Seo-yeon no longer had the confidence she was known for. Maybe it was because of before when I talked back. Maybe.

She backed herself into a desk, causing her to he unable to move an further. With in a second she was on the floor holding her cheek. Gasps and whispering filled the room.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU JUST SLAPPED ME! YOU BITCH!" Seo-yeon screeched, she stood up and ran towards me.

"Believe it," I said dodging her attack, which caused her to bump into the lockers.

(Here)

"You bitch! You know the pain of being hurt but you still do it to others. Yeah, that's right. I saw the scars on your legs today at lunch. Self-harm? Weirdo," She chuckled.

"Speak for yourself. You've been hurting people for no one knows how long. Those scars you saw weren't self-harm. It was abuse. Go. Go make rumours of me being in an abusive family, I don't give a fuck," I spat, "But the thing is Seo-yeon. At least I'm still here, defending myself, even after being put through that for 10 years. Instead of being someone like you."

(ALL DONE)

Seo-yeon scoffed, "And what is someone like me?"

"A grown girl whining on the ground acting like a 2 year old being pushed over. Grow up Seo-yeon. No one wants to deal with your shit anymore!" With that a left the room with Chan following me.

I pushed past many people heading towards the entrance of the school. But when I knew I was out of sight from the people who witnessed that, I fell to the ground. Chan didn't seem surprised by my actions and just sat beside me.

My breath was uneven and hands were shaking slightly. I placed my head on Chan's shoulder and closed my eyes.

"That was too hard. I can't believe

"Let's go home so you can tell me what happened and rest, okay?" Chris' voice became gentle and calm compared to before.

We both stood up but Chan quickly picked me up like before and we walked home like that.

Chan laid me down on the bed. He walked off out of the bed room. I stared at the ceiling not feeling the best. However, I felt hands slide around my waist and a my head beung pulled into their chest.

"I feel better now," I muttered snuggling into Chan's chest, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You wanna tell me what happened?" He placed a kiss on my forehead.

I deeply sighed and tilted my head to look at him, "I couldn't find any of your friends at lunch...

-

"I swear to God I hate her so much," Chan growled after I finished telling the story, "what about the pool?"

"Ah... my parents... they-"

"You don't have to tell me now if it's too hard. You can talk about it another time," he cut me off.

"It's fine. When I was seven, it was the start of where the abuse started," I spoke almost choking on my saliva, "we were going on a camping trip with my grandparents. Nan and Pop went for a nap while us three went to the lake. Keep in mind it was winter at the time.

"I was minding my own business playing around at the edge of the dock when I sharp pain hit my back. I fell into the ice-cold water, at the time I still didn't know how to swim. I could only vaguely see over the dock, but I saw those people smirking at me before walking back to the cabin.

"I struggled to get to the ladder. Very out of breath. And things were brushing against my legs which made me even more scared. They had locked me out of the cabin till dusk and by that time I had almost frozen to death," I explained in all the detail I remembered.

Chan placed his hand on my cheek and wiped away the tears I didn't even know fell. I tightened my grip, feeling like shit once again. Waterfalls were basically flowing out of my eyes.

But I managed to mumble, "that's why I blanked out. Thank you for saving me."

"Hey~ it's okay now. I'll protect you. I'll be there for you. Always, okay?"

"You'll be my guardian?"
