I could feel my heart pounding. My breath steady, but seeming fast at the same time. I tried to open my eyes but they were glued shut. Even if I tried to move, I just couldn't. I gave up trying to move, but heard small sobs instead. Their cries were faint but close to where I was.

"Please wake up Y/n. Please don't leave," They sobbed.

'Chan?' I thought.

With all my might I struggled to open my eyes. I slowly opened them, but instantly squinted from the bright light above me. I seemed to be able to move slightly now, still in excruciating pain. I turned my head towards the cries and saw Chris. He held my hand tightly and rested his head on the bed.

I used my free hand to carefully stroke his hair. Chan's head immediately looked up in my direction. He went in for a hug, but hesitantly backed away. I smiled and achingly sat up. Chan Helped me, not wanting for my injuries to get worse.

I sat staring at him. He was sitting his own chair next to my bed. Looking down at his hands which were still intertwined. I let go of his hand, causing him to look up at me.

I held my arms in the air weakly, "come here," I said and he gently hugged me.

I large grin was plastered on his face and mine. The hug was warm and comforting. I wanted to say like that forever. I felt safe for once. We released from the hug and looked at each other sincerely.

"I have a question, before I explain what's happening and you explain what happened," He stated.

"Shoot."

"The last thing you said before you blacked out at your house. Did you mean it?" He asked, seeming very curious. As if he wanted to know the answer for ages.

"You're gonna have to elaborate on that,"

"When you said if I don't see you again, I want to thank you for being a great friend and that you may or may not have a crush on me?" I asked again.

I was in utter shock. I told him that? I told him about the crush?

Before I could answered the hospital door slid open. A man in a white cloak and a woman in a white uniform entered.

"Hello, Ms L/n. My name is Dr Kim. How are you feeling?" The man asked.

"It's painful," I said bluntly.

"Could you point out where please?" He asked once again.

I pointed towards my legs and stomach, but figured that wouldn't tell him how much pain I was in.

"Those are the more painful, but my whole body hurts," I mumbled.

Chan reached for my hand and smiled at me with apologetic eyes.

"Okay," the Dr Kim chirped, "please go with Nurse Ahn here. She will inspect your wounds."

With that the doctor left and I was being helped off the bed, by both Chris and the nurse. It was painful as usual. Nothing new.

Nurse Ahn told Chan to stay in the room. He tried to object but was immediately shut down by her.

Chan's POV

I sighed to myself and sat on the edge of the bed.

"She wasn't herself lately. I can't believe I didn't notice," I quietly scolded myself,  "I hope she's okay with the arrangements for when she's out of the hospital."

I smiled. Thinking she'll be safe now.

"I hope," I muttured.
