Chapter 15: Calm Before The Storm

Sarah saw Spencer and pounced, while in monster form. The size Sarah was matched Dragice and she was about 16 feet. Mokali looked over and growled, which made Togaru wake up. The demigod sat up and noticed Spencer.

"Well, look at what the cat dragged back. Long time, Folgomo." The man growled out as he rubbed his head.

"Heh, everything but the cat dragged me." Folgomo laughed, then noticed Kami, "Oh, I get it." Then he chuckled again,

"I didn't drag anyone..." Kami protested. The Paladin simply waved the statement away, and turned to look up at Sarah. "So, how are you?" He asked the monster on his chest.

"Just fine now you're back!" Sarah said as she made a soft growling noise like a Gaster Blaster. Katherine looked at her sister and used her power to pull Sarah off her uncle.

"Don't mind her, as I said she can be excited easily. Very, very easily." The calm twin said as she excused herself from the conversation she was having. She walked over to her uncle and her death glare that was forming with each step was matching her mothers all so long ago.

"Hey, hey, woah woah." Spencer said, leaping to his feet. "Take it easy with the eyes, kid." He said, backing up a step.

"Wow, like mother like daughter. She has grown up so much." Mokali laughed, and her Paladin chuckled in agreement.

Katherine quickened her advance on her uncle and a Gaster Blaster appeared behind her.

"Wow... Bad time?" Amelia asked as she as she appeared again with Alaric and Relta. "And I thought I had a grudge against Spence..." The female godslayer muttered to Alaric.

"Not at all." Spencer smiled, as the blaster fired. Spencer disappeared into the light, and Katherine's eyes widened in a rare showing of surprise. She frantically closed her fist, which stopped the skull device. Her face was a mask of worry, until she looked up to see that her uncle hadn't budged. The man brushed his shoulder off,

"Feel better?" He asked, trying and failing to keep the sarcasm out of his voice.

Katherine didn't say anything for a moment then she lowered her head, her hair covering her face. Then bones started to appear around her, much like they would Sans and her mother knew what was coming.

"Katherine... Stop it, he had a reason." The goddess tried to reason with her daughter, but that seemed to piss her off more. Togaru looked surprised.

"Now I'm glad I didn't fight her..." He muttered quietly.

"You could have visited! You could have seen me and Sarah if you came with mom, but no! You had to be the selfish ass you are and not consider how we felt! Sure! Muffet wasn't going to let you see Arachne, but that doesn't. No. SHOULDN'T! Keep you away from the rest of the family!" The normally calmer of the twins shouted as her head snapped up and bones went flying at Spencer as more Gaster Blaster appeared and fired.

Spencer disappeared and reappeared in front of the girl, his face stern. She tried to impale him with bones, but he caught her wrist. He looked her in the eyes until she did the same to him, fury dancing those twin orbs.

"You listen here, young lady. I may not have seen for a decade, but I am still your uncle and you do not get to talk to me like that. You may hate me, and that's acceptable. But you do not have the right to say what I can or should do. Do you understand me?" He asked, his voice level and cold. Katherine's eyes filled with tears of anger, and spat,

"I don't care! You haven't been family since you left to be Mom's Paladin." Spencer let the anger drain from his face, and said in the calmest voice he could muster,
