Mokali was shaking and her growl was that of her goddess self.
"You think I don't know that Furorem? She is my sister, and right now I want to rip him apart. But. I. Can't." The goddess seemed to glow with a red aura that was pure anger and bloodlust.
"Yes, you can and you will. Tomorrow, one way or another, our troubles with Amogaru will end." Furorem intoned, sleepiness vanishing as he felt her bloodlust spike. It filled him with a sort of high. He was ready to crush the bastard who had killed him, his brother, and his master.
"Furorem... You forget she doesn't have her goddess powers." Ra's voice came from nowhere as the sun dragon appeared from the clouds.
"Yeah... As much as I hate to admit, Mokali isn't going to make it if you throw her into that fight." Stella came out from behind a tree. "I mean, Look at her." The dragon said as she pointed to the goddess/monster. The aura only was growing as her eyes were starting to take the same color.
"She could only unlock her full power with that kind of bloodlust when she fought you and see? She can't do anything."
"Perhaps..." Fortitudo started, then stopped, thinking. "I guess we are still out matched. Nairo is the only thing that even has a chance to survive an attack from Amogaru. Not to mention the other gods. We need to get Mokali's strength back."
"If I may..." Libidine started. All eyes turned to her, "Mokali, think of it this way. The gods that Amogaru has. They can still be saved. They need only your help to see their way out of this blackness. I hear you have done this before, with your cousin and our friend Furorem here." At this, the Spirit of Power shifted uncomfortably. "Fighting Amogaru isn't revenge. This is to save the family you still have. The gods in Kami Lectulo, your son and daughters and nieces that are here, and your husband on earth. They are counting on you. You are carrying their Hopes and Dreams on your back. And I know that they do not doubt you. They love you and have faith that you will save them all. You will be their salvation, their goddess above to bring the sun from night. But more importantly, you are their mother and aunt and wife. You are fighting for something greater than yourself, something truly important. Your family."
What Libidine said seemed to effect Mokali, even if it took a minute to do so. The red aura died doing as the goddesses mindscape changed. It became softer, the storm disappearing, and the sun was rising.
"You are right." Mokali's voice had a soft echo to it now. "I need to be able to think clearly, to protect those who are still alive and that I hold dear." The goddess got up and her form shifted, now her goddess true form. The large griffin like goddess had her head held high as the sun of her mindscape hit her fur, making it shimmer.
Fortitudo was also affected, his eyes glowing brighter as the familial bond strengthened him as much as his brother when Mokali had raged about vengeance. The two spirits looked at one another, and nodded. Furorem grinned and Fortitudo rolled his head and shoulders. Both were ready to battle. Libidine winked at Mokali and disappeared, claiming she needed her beauty rest.
"I will defeat him like before, but he will not came back." Mokali said in determined tone then looked down to the twins.
"And I will bring back Spencer. He is still needed in the world." She said and winked at them with a smirk. Then she looked out to the landscape her mind was and sighed.
"I do have a plan, but I doubt anyone will agree with it."
"Oh, and why do you say that?" Furorem asked, cocking an eyebrow. "Does it involve self sacrifice? Didn't work out too well for us when we tried it."
"That would be the last resort, but it that could be considered a part of my main plan." Mokali said is a chuckling tone.
"I think that Nova Bomb might work better... just having seen both" Fortitudo said, this made Mokali look at him before laughing.
"That would be too weak. When I used that was when I had only a smaller fraction of my power, and that was against a weakened goddess. No, have you heard of the right of Hasdevanu?" The goddess ruler asked as she looked at him with her eyes glimmering.
The twins shook their heads, not knowing the word. "Care to explain?" They asked in unison.
"It translates to Duel for Leadership. It is a fight to the death." Mokali said in soft but meaningful tone.
"So that's how you became queen." The pair again spoke as one. "And you hope that you'll win the throne again that way?" Furorem asked.
Mokali nodded, feeling irritated about her real plan. She wasn't going to tell the boys, she didn't have the faith in them to not stop her.
"Keep that in your back pocket, Mokali. Don't use it unless there is no other option. Afterall, what is the good of freeing Folgomo and the other gods if you are not there for them?" Fortitudo suggested and argued.
Mokali looked to the boys.
"But it is better than any plan. The others can not attack and one can yield to the other. We could still save Togaru."
"By exploding in his face?" Furorem asked, aghast. "That'd blast his body to dust, killing both. Remember last time your loved one was used as a shield?" Furorem asked, hitting himself in the curias. "Give them a path, and let them follow it."
"I will not be a suicide bomber. I will lead, but also fine a way to save Togaru. Besides. He can't stop a god from reincarnating. No one can. The reason I destroyed his soul was because I learned from my husband to grab souls." Mokali said as she looked to the boys. She stretched her wings, the turquoise in the middle seeming to glow in the rising light of the mindscape.
"That seems a fine plan." Furorem admitted after a moment's reflection. "I just hope the kids are ready for tomorrow. We'll be teleporting into a war zone."
"It will be even more of a surprise that I have my power back. But this is different, I feel..." Mokali paused as she shook herself and it seemed power flared out of her. "Stronger." She said and her voice had a growl in it.
"Good. Now we must rest before tomorrow. We'll plan our strategy further tomorrow."
"You rest. I have something to do." Mokali said to the boys with a coy smile. She looked out over her mindscape and had a different air about her.
The pair bowed and vanished back to Nairo's unconscious mind, leaving Mokali alone.
Mokali returned to reality and noticed Meliodas tied up right there.
"I'm going to guess Hawk." The goddess said as she looked at her hand, seeing that she did have her power back.
"Yeah. So, what are you planning on doing?" Meliodas asked as Mokali got up and stretched. The goddess turned to him with a small smile.
"Keeping a promise to Ban. King will enjoy it too." The goddess said as she made her wings appeared. She took off, some feathers fell and she didn't return until the morning.
