Clang! The spirit twins crossed their blades between Mokali and Sarah. The impact sent a rippled of force out and launched the smaller monster back. She landed on her ass, dazed.
"Mada mada..." Furorem hissed.
"Really boys?" Mokali sighed, sweat dropping.
"Oww.... Why?!" Sarah asked in thoughts as she shook herself off. Libidine Gibbs smacks both boys making Mokali snicker a little.
"The hell?" Libidine asked.
Fortitudo embarrassed, explained. "We thought she was attacking."
"Well, that would be funny. I may not have been in this form in a long time but I am still stronger than her." Mokali chimed in.
"Enough! Let's go!" Arachne said, trying to end the conversation before it started up again. She began walking away, half dragging a dazed Nairo. The three spirits disappeared and Nairo shuddered as he went. Amelia and Ryu followed next, followed by Mokali, the twins and Ra. The group arrived at the forge, and set to work as the sun blazed down from directly overhead.
The twins watched as the metal was heated while Moklai kept away. Amelia worked hard and noticed.
"Hey, if Mokali's magic is sealed right now... How is the forge still like this? And the god's fire is here too."
"Mother already set the forge to how it is, she doesn't need to maintain it. The matter is how it is, because she made it how it is. No upkeep needed." Ryu explained, who was busy pumping the bellows. "The God's fire is similar, although this isn't easy to keep alive. Anyone with Pyrokinesis want to help?"
The little jerboa like creature hopped up and looked at the fire with a small amount of amusement and the fire got a little larger.
"Ah, Aroara. I keep forgetting that you are the Demigod of fire." Arigo said as he watched.
With Aroara's and Bekali's help, the forge was soon roaring, and Amelia began to mix the God's plant and the steel into useful ingots. Only she knew how to combine the two materials, so that was the bottleneck for work. The instant she made an ingot, either Arachne or Nairo would grab it and begin to work. Both were experienced engineers and knew how to shape metal, with Ra instructing them on the shape needed. The rest of the group went inside to make dinner and to prepare otherwise to depart to Earth.
By the time the sun was setting, the weapons had been made. Arachne now had a godslayer's hammer with a small steel shield for her left arm, a dozen more arrows for Sarah, a new staff for Katherine, a broadsword for Ryu, a new spear, shield and shorsword for Retla, a pair of knives for Mia, a new whip for Amelia with studs of the God's plant embedded in the leather, a pair of daggers for Kami, a spear for Aroara, a trident for Bekali, an axe for Degasi, and a bow with more arrows for Arigo. Everyone properly armed, the workers dismantled their forge, took their new crafts, and went to bed.
That night Mokali jumped awake from a nightmare and went outside to get some fresh air. She leaned against the wall of the tavern before going into her mind to settle herself. She sent out mental invites to the spirits, wanting to talk to them.
The three spirits came, the twins both wearing shorts and Libidine wearing a white shift. Libidine yawned and stretched, as did Fortitudo as Furorem rubbed his eyes.
"You call and we answer, Lady Mokali." Fortitudo said, bowing. "What is it you need from us at this hour?"
"Besides someone to talk to?" Mokali chuckled softly as the dark circles under her eyes seemed darker. Her mind scape reflected the night as the darkness was only dimmed by the full moon.
