The two stood ready, both equally nonchalant on the outside. Kami casually pulled a rose dagger from somewhere and lazily tossed the knife at Ban, who didn't move. The blade sunk into Ban's left thigh, and it bled profusely. He glanced down at it annoyed, as if it were a fly crawling on him. He flicked the knife and it flew out of his skin. Kami sighed, of course. He couldn't beat him with blades. He'd have to immobilize him.
"Are you even sure you want to fight me? I am a demo-" Kami was cut off by Ban snered.
"I have fought a demon and won. A little sparring match won't do anything bad."
Kami shrugged, it was worth a shot. Kami knew he'd need that he'd have to pull out all the stops. He summoned another blade and knelt. He put the blade to his palm and pulled. The blade cut open his hand, which pooled in his hand. He pressed it to the ground.
"Let the earth drink of my blood and take new life in it." He murmured. He suddenly groaned slightly and paled. The small pool that had started around his hand gushed wider. Then it sank into the ground. Kami straightened and started licking his palm clean. Ban cocked an eyebrow, curious as to what the cat was planning. The earth started to shake.
The ground started to bloom with different plants, many with mouths and sharp thorn teeth.
"How did he do that?" King asked in shock and Mokali answered.
"He is of a rare type of Demon that if they hit a rank they can be reborn once they die with a power. His seems to be the control of plants."
Kami said nothing, but rather put his arms up above his head. And to everyone's surprise, he started dancing. Slow, flowing movements like water, rolling his torso and hips rhythmically to a bear no one else could hear. As Kami did this, the plants started swaying and whipping around. Kami spun around, throwing his arms in a circle around his head. The plants surrounded Ban, who seemed more curious than scared. The plants arched upward and created a dome around Ban, who still didn't move. Soon, he was gone from sight.
Now Kami stopped dancing, and spread his arms outward. He closed his fists, and there inside the dome there came crushing and ripping sounds. The outside didn't change, but Kami knew what was happening. The plants were strategically impaling Ban to immobilize him.
"And you are a Sin. I thought you would be stronger than that." Kami taunted, wanting to get a reaction. Mokali laughed as she shook her head.
"I doubt you hurt him. Although he was a bit cocky taking that hit. Besides, he is immortal." the goddess said as Meliodas nodded his agreement.
"I know that, I wasn't trying to kill him. I'm immobilizing him. However, I won't know if it worked without going in, and I don't think I can win by doing that. So, I wait until he either breaks out, or he doesn't." Kami said, shivering. He was very pale. "Sorry, that took a lot out of me. Blood wise, anyway."
"I'm surprised you have such control over your power." Mokali told Kami as he smiled shyly, muttering a small thanks.
"Now, Ban. You want to have your ass handed to you by a little kitty cat and be teased about it by Meliodas and the others?" The goddess asked as she smiled slyly and Kami looked up alarmed.
"He isn't immobilized?" Kami asked, thunderstruck. How could he be that strong? He wouldn't have the leverage or mobility to bring his power to bear. He had Archimedes on his side, dammit.
"I have Archimedes on my side, dammit!" Kami said, half joking, half cursing. "Not possible!"
Meliodas chuckled as the plants were cut and Ban walked out with his wounds healing. Kami backed away for a second, then smirked.
"Damn... where are the two idiot brothers when you want them. Proving the bastard Furorem wrong." He said calmly and waited for the fox sin to strike. Mokali flinched as she turned her head away. The demigods noticed and were around the goddess.
"The laws of physics and basic anatomy say that's bullshit!" Kami said, voice higher than usual. "What the hell?" Ban chuckled
"Does it matter?" He smirked, and Kami sighed.
"Suppose not." Now the cat demon started worrying. That was really chance of winning this bout. "Shit..."
Kami waited as Ban did and Sarah looked at the scene confused. Stella grew impatient at waiting and stamped her foot, starting the fight with Kami using his speed and landing the first blow sending Ban flying for a feet feet before the fox sin landed. Ban's jaw was grossly disfigured but repaired itself.
"Not bad, kitty." Ban said, rolling his jaw. "Still, you're not helping your case." Ban vanished, as did Kami. The two clashed, Ban being thrown into the air, and Kami two blades at the Fox. They struck his left shoulder and right hip. They also trailed vines that were devoid of thorns. Kami held the other ends and spun Ban around and slammed him into the ground before pulling hard. Ban was dragged towards Kami, taking a heavy right knee to his face as he flew forward. He rocked back, but stayed on his feet. Kami pulled him forward again, but Ban was ready this time.
He caught Kami's left fist as it hooked towards his cheek. He clenched his fist and Kami cried out. Kami flipped backwards, kicking Ban's chin twice and rolling his arm sickeningly. Ban flinched slightly, but kept a hold of the hand. He clenched harder and Kami felt his tendons start to pop. He shouted in pain before summoning a knife and shoving it in Ban's eye. The Fox sin recoiled and shouted. He let go of Kami's hand and kicked Kami hard in the chest. Kami staggered backwards, clutching his mangled hand.
"You are strong for a human, I'll give you that. I yield..." Kami said as he grimaced while holding his injured paw.
"Aww, the kitty cat is weaker than I thought." Ban teased, but Kami threw a venomous look.
"No, I was fighting others and also know when to back down. Unless you were an enemy that was going to try to go after something I care about, then I would fight to the death with you." The demon cat said and Ban looked surprised. Kami laughed at the fox sin's face.
"Don't be surprised. My type of demon has honor."
