Warning: Mentions of death
September 8

Theia laid back on her bed's puffy satin red comforter; her braids symmetrically streaming down her chest, whilst the bedroom's chandelier brightened her chocolate brown skin and glimmered her golden brown eyes. She was left paralyzed by all the thoughts rushing through her mind, after the news she had received earlier in the day. Isn't it so convenient that both of them are students of Windsor High. What about the fact that this happened in the course of two days. People obviously don't like Trey, but would someone actually try to kill him? That someone being from school?

Without another thought, Theia grabbed her phone and called Ming. Per usual it took a long while till Ming picked up her phone and per usual she eventually did, "Hey" Theia greeted. "Hey" Ming replied. "Look, I know you don't want to talk right now because it is late and because of all the crap that has happened but I plead with you to listen in" Theia said in a single breath. "Okay..." Ming stated. "My brother was not just 'spiked' someone tried to kill him" Theia said. "That's wild but I don't know if I'm the right person to comfort you right now, I'm already quite spooked" Ming said. "No, no it's not about comforting me. It's just -. Isn't it too convenient that literally a day after Trey is almost murdered, Harlow's brother is found dead at school" Theia said. "I don't know... is it really. A lot of people don't like Trey" Ming stated. "I know that but, don't you think it's possibly linked?" Theia asked. "Honestly no, I mean it could be but most likely not. I bet Trey doesn't only have enemies at school. And anyways what would Trey and Daniel have alike in the first place" Ming added. "I don't know... It's just -. Ugh" Theia sighed. "I know you want to know who killed Daniel and who poisoned Trey but just randomly speculating does not help" Ming stated. "I don't know Ming, something doesn't feel right. Maybe it links to the fact that Trey bullied Daniel" Theia stated. "Theia, Trey bullied everyone that he thought was in any way shape or form an easy target. Just go to sleep, it's late and we have a long day tomorrow" Ming said. "Alright...bye Ming" Theia stated, still unsettled.

Cassandra

"Sir how many times do I have to say that my name is pronounced ah-loo-we-ah, and if you can't say it right just call me Lu" Aluia ranted, causing Cassandra to laugh. "I'm sorry, I will make sure to write the pronunciation down" Ms. Watkins responded. "Come on Lu go easy on her, she's a new teacher and an old woman" Cassandra whispered. Aluia shrugged and continued her sketch, "So what about the new boy?" Aluia smirked as she averted her dark brown eyes to Cassandra's chocolate brown. "Well what about him?" Cassandra asked. "I saw you showing him around school today in the morning" Aluia stated with a playful smile on her face. "Yeah. Coz he is new and needs someone to show him around" Cassandra shrugged. "Is my best friend trying to hide things from me" Aluia smirked. "Ughh. Okay, maybe I like him. Maybe I think he's cute. Maybe I want to get to know him" Cassandra huffed and covered her caramel freckled face. "Okay, okay I get it you're shy." Aluia stated returning back to her sketch. "Have you seen Ming, she wasn't at Math today?" Cassandra asked. "Yeah I saw her in the morning but I haven't seen her since." Aluia answered. "Weird" Cassandra stated. The bell rang causing every student to pack up, and rush out of class to enjoy their break. "Where are we gonna chill, the botanical garden is obviously closed?" Cassandra asked. "Well, we can always go hang out in the cafeteria with the other peeps" Aluia stated. Cassandra shrugged and held her backpack as she followed Aluia to the cafeteria. "Excuse me Ms. Da Cunha, Principle Schwartz would like to speak to you" Ms. Watkins said after getting a message from the principle. "Okay..." Aluia said, confusion flowing through her voice. "What did you do?" Cassandra whispered. "I don't know" Aluia mouthed as she turned away from Cassandra's direction and walked towards the principle's office.

Well what do I do now. Without her friends around, Cassandra was left alone wondering where and who she was going to spend her break with. Maybe with Kai? No that will just seem like I'm being too pushy. Calvin is probably busy saving a cat from the top of a tree right now. Ugh maybe I should just get a book from my locker, and read it while I snack on my fruits till break ends. As she walked to her locker , Calvin bumped onto her. "Hey watch it" Cassandra feigned annoyance. "Hey sorry, I've been looking for you, I need my math book - Alan asked for some help with geometry." Calvin stated. "Yeah sure, I've got it in my locker - I was actually heading there right now" Cassandra stated. "Alright, let's go then" Calvin said as he walked along the school's halls with Cassandra. "Hey Cas. Have you seen that the botanical garden is closed?" Calvin asked. "Yeah I did" Cassandra answered. "It sucks, it's always been a great place to chill and concentrate. Wonder what happened" Calvin stated. Cassandra just hummed along. "By the way, send me condolences to Harlow. If she ever needs anything she can hit me up. Especially if she wants some homework answers" Calvin smiled. "Sure I'll tell her" Cassandra giggled.

The two arrive at Cassandra's locker. She removes her keys from her bag and opens the lockers, looking through the stack of books - spotting and pulling out Calvin's math book. "Hey what's that" Calvin pointed. "What?" Cassandra asked. "At the bottom corner of your locker" Calvin answered. Cassandra grabbed the object. "It's a phone...Daniel's phone" Cassandra said. "What is Daniel's phone doing in your locker?" Calvin asked, looking at Cassandra in slight suspicion. "I don't know, Calvin you can't possibly think that I stole his phone" Cassandra quaked, growing worried that Calvin thought that she had something to do with Daniel's murder. "No I don't, I would never think that Cas I know you and I trust that you'd never steal Dan's phone but what is it doing in your locker?" he asked again. "I don't know!" Cassandra insisted. "Okay. Let's just be responsible about this. We'll go to the office together and hand it to Schwartz" Calvin said as he extended his hand so that Cassandra could give him Daniel's phone. "No, they'll think that we had something to do with it. Like what am I supposed to say - Hi Ma'am I randomly found Daniel's phone in my locker" Cassandra said as the frustration kept brewing in her. "Fine. give it to me, I'll go alone and tell them that I found it in my locker" Calvin further insisted. "No!" to Calvin's surprise Cassandra shouted, and placed the phone inside her bag. "Now that looks suspicious" Calvin said. "Look, I'll just give it to Harlow coz I trust her and she trusts me" Cassandra dictated. "Why are you so shaky about this?" Calvin asked. "Because I think that they are starting to interrogate us and the last thing I want to do is look like the killer" Cassandra rushed. "Why would they interrogate you?" Calvin asked in a state of confusion. "OMG Calvin stop asking so many questions!" Cassandra exclaimed, coming to the realization that she almost revealed the events that took place in the botanical garden. "Okay, okay relax Cas. I'm sorry" Calvin stated as he attempted to calm Cassandra down. "No I'm sorry" Cassandra said as she grabbed a hold of Calvin and gave him a bear a hug, him hugging her back in the process. "Do you trust me?" Cassandra asked as she looked up at Calvin, staring right into his dark brown eyes. "Yeah I do" Calvin answered as he looked back back into her own caramel brown. "Then you know that I did not kill Daniel" Cassandra said. "After his own family, you're the last person that I would think would be responsible for that" Calvin replied as Cassandra let go of him. "Then what happened here will remain between the two of us" Cassandra stated. "Alright"
