Warning: Mentions of death
September 9

The more time passed since Daniel was found dead, the less all the events that occurred after it made sense - especially to Cassandra. Even after hours and classes had passed after finding Daniel's phone in her locker, Cassandra was still in absolute shock - left wondering how Daniel's phone ended up in her locker.

"Ms. Dos Santos, may you please read the rest of page fourteen?" the English teacher asked.
"Oh, yes" Cassandra answered as she looked through the page, trying to find the sentence in which the class stopped reading.

"Here" Kai whispered and pointed.
"Thank you" Cassandra whispered back.

"Now that we are done with chapter one, we will look through the themes so that you can start studying them for your first essay" Mrs. Dey said.
Kai sighed, grabbing Cassandra's attention.
"You're not a fan of essays?" she smiled and asked.
"English is a weakness of mine, it is after all my second language" he answered as he looked back at Cassandra.
"Well, I can help you out with them. I may suck at math but I am very good at English" Cassandra said.
"I'd be really thankful. What can I do for you in return?" Kai asked.
"Idk maybe you could help me improve my French" Cassandra smiled and shrugged.
"I could do that but I think it'd be fair if I helped you with something more useful like math" he suggested.
"Yes! That would be great, you're a freaking math god" Cassandra joked.
"I definitely think that's quite a bit of exaggeration but, thanks" he shyly smirked.
"So...should we exchange numbers?" Cassandra asked.
"Yeah" Kai answered with a bright smile in his face, his interested in Cassandra finally starting to show.

After the two exchanged numbers Cassandra looked back as she felt a pair of eyes staring at her and came face to face with Calvin, noting the fact that Calvin had been listening to their conversation. At that moment Ming walked into the class, huffed and heavily sat on the chair that stood next to Calvin.
"Ming where have you been?" Cassandra asked.
"I'll tell you later, not now" she whispered.
"Were you being interrogated?" Calvin asked.
Ming frowned and looked back at Cassandra.
"What did you tell him?" she asked. Cassandra simply replied with a shrug. "Cas!" Ming shouted in a whisper.
"Sorry" Cassandra whispered back.
"It's too late to try and hide stuff from me" Calvin said.
"Does he know everything?" Ming annoyedly asked.
"No" Cassandra answered.
"No?" Calvin asked in disbelief.
"No. And as I said before, no more questions" Cassandra stated.
"Fine" Calvin sighed.
Kai looked back at Ming and Calvin then turned to Cassandra, confusion taking over his facial expression.
"Forgive me, I know that you are trying to focus on the work and we're probably bothering you. So let's start working on the theme of love and passion." Cassandra said as the two went on to focus on the school work.

The school bell rings, signaling the start of Windsor's second break. Even though Cassandra was super excited to have finally gotten Kai's number and having the ability to meet him in the near future, she could not help it but look back at the phone that was currently hidden to her back. She decided to instead of eating and interacting with her friends, like all the school kids did in the second break - go to the empty school gym. The gym would often be full of the sporty students that lived by staying in shape, but since they were only active after school when the sports activities took place. The gym was currently an absolute ghost town. She took Daniel's phone out of her bag and raised it, causing it to stare right at her face. And like all the motion sensitive smart phones, the screen lit up.
How is this phone fully charged if Daniel died three days ago? Meaning that it must be the person that put this in my locker that charged the phone.
In a state of curiosity Cassandra attempted to unlock the phone by sliding her thumb across the screen. And to her shock it actually opened.
How does it not have a passcode?
The fact that it is Daniel's phone was further confirmed by the wallpaper decorated by a selfie that Daniel took with Harlow. The desire to look into the phone's content began to grow but it was immediately cut out by the announcement loudly renounced through Windsor's speakers.
"Ms. Dos Santos you are currently being summoned to the front office."
Cassandra took a deep sigh and said, "I guess that it's my turn now."
