Warning: Mentions of death and foul language
September 10th

Alauia
My intentions were to just get average grades and only do well at business and design but school instead started by finding a dead kid, but oh well I'll make do with the situation and find something great to explore. One of those things been Kai Dupont which seems to be my best friend's biggest crush.
While the thoughts rolled around in her head, Alauia made sure to seat next to Kai in Biology.
"Hi!" Alauia greeted Kai.
"Hi" Kai greeted back.
"So I've heard that you are a professional soccer-player." Alauia said.
"That's the aim, still getting in contact with some European football teams." He said.
"Then why be here in Maryland?" Aluia asked.
"My father has a one year transfer in which he'll be working here, so my mom decided to join and I didn't want to stay alone in Belgium." Kai answered.
"Makes sense. So the whole professional football thing and only staying here for a year is why you're only taking specific classes?" Alauia asked.
"Yes." Kai answered.
"Oh cool, so what about Cas?" Aluia asked.
"What about her?" Kai asked back.
"Well...are you cool with a long distance relationship?" Alauia asked, causing Kai to laugh.
"By the way I'm Lu, Cas' best friend." Aluia smiled.
"And I'm guessing that you already know who I am." Kai said.
"Yup. Just please don't tell Cas that I asked you that, she'll kill me if she finds out that I practically told you that she wants to date you." Alauia rambled.
"Sure I won't." Kai shyly laughed and looked down at his school iPad.
A shy boy, no wonder why Cassandra immediately like him. Well that and also his good looks.
"Oh Cas! I was just having a chat with Kai." Alauia said as she moved from Cassandra's seat.

Cassandra
"Okay..." Cassandra suspiciously said. "Hey Kai, how are you?" Cassandra asked, sitting down on the chair next to Kai's.
"I'm good, what about you?" Kai asked back.
"I'm good too" Cassandra lied and smiled.
"That's great. I was waiting for your response to my text yesterday." Kai said.
"Oh my gosh yes! I made the message but forgot to press send, is it cool with you if we study at my house?" Cassandra asked, Alauia subtly looking at the two with interest in their conversation.
"Yes, if that is okay with your parents?" Kai asked.
"I'll ask them but that shouldn't be an issue." She said. "I can't do it at school coz I'll be busy at school hours and sports hours so I'll only be open after that." Cassandra justified.
"That's okay. If you are comfortable with that and your parents are okay with it then sure." Kai said.
"Great!" Cassandra said, turning her attention to the iPad in her bag.
"Psss, good job." Alauia whispered after tapping Cassandra, earning an eye roll from Cassandra.

After all the classes, the sport activities started and Cassandra was focused on remaining fit for her upcoming swimming competitions by swimming laps across the large school swimming pool. With all her focus set on a single thing ever since Daniel's death, time passed quickly and when she removed her head from the water one more time, she saw that Calvin was waiting for her. Cassandra immediately got out of the pool and began to dry herself.
"Just give me a few minutes to get changed." Cassandra said after walking to Calvin and headed to one of the pool's bathrooms.
"Okay, what's up?" Cassandra asked when she came back from the bathroom after dressing back into her school uniform and placing her swimwear in her gym bag, that she forgot to fully close.
"You know what's up. Let's not talk about it here, let's go outside." Calvin said, leading Cassandra to Windsor's main entrance.
"So are you finally gonna tell me something?" Cassandra impatiently asked.
"Look." Calvin said as he put his hand up to show that he was carrying Harlow's art bag.
"What about it?" Cassandra asked.
"I'm helping her carry her bags to the drop off. But this is also the perfect time for you to hand her the phone." Calvin said.
Cassandra sighed and said, "Okay let's go."
"What was in it anyways?" Calvin asked.
"Not much." Cassandra lied.
Before Calvin could notice Cassandra's lie, Harlow walked up to the two.
"Thank you Calvin, you are always so kind." Harlow said.
"It's always a pleasure, you know I'm always here to help." Calvin replied.
"Hey Harlow." Cassandra greeted.
"Hey stranger. Long time no see." Harlow said.
"Yeah sorry, a lot has been going on." Cassandra replied.
"Tell me about it." Harlow wryly smiled.
Calvin then stared at Cassandra signaling for her to give the phone.
"Well Harlow I have to go now. I currently have the usual free tutorial with Calvin." Cassandra lied.
Calvin simply stood there, frustrated by Cassandra's lie.
"You two okay?" Harlow asked, noticing the strange atmosphere.
"Yeah we're just fine, right Calvin?" Cassandra asked as she made an horrific attempt to look like she was speaking the truth.
"Cassandra..." Calvin whispered at her.
"Sorry Harlow but I have to go now." Cassandra said and began to walk away.
"Cassandra no, wait." Calvin said, grabbing Cassandra's hand and pulling her back which caused her to slightly lose her balance, making her bag swerve, leaving all the contents of her bag to fall on the floor - including Daniel's phone.
"Holy shit!" Cassandra swore, rushing down to the floor to grab the objects.
"Don't worry Cas, I'll help - Calvin come on be the gentleman that you always are and help." Harlow said as she noticed that Calvin had frozen in place as if he'd seen a ghost.
"No Harlow, I'll do it by myself." Cassandra insisted, while still scrabbling around to place everything in her bag.
"It's okay I'm already kneeling anyways." Harlow stated.
"Harlow stop..." Cassandra stopped mid sentence when she noticed that Harlow got a hold of Daniel's phone.
"What is this?" Harlow's tone turned cold.
Cassandra and Calvin remained quiet.
"Is this...no fucking way this is Daniel's phone!" Harlow exclaimed.
"What are you doing with Daniel's phone!?" Harlow shouted.
"I found it in my locker and I placed it in Cassandra's bag so that we could give it to you right now." Calvin lied, attempting to protect Cassandra.
"So rushing to a freaking tutorial is the equivalent to giving me my dead brother's phone!" Harlow thundered.
"Harlow, Cas was only nervous, we were going to give it to you" Calvin said.
"Liars, both of you! How long have you had this phone!? Actually I don't even care, you better start finding an excuse for having my brother's phone because both of you are fucking dead!" Harlow shouted, harshly grabbed her bags from Calvin and ran to her car.
"Yup, we're screwed." Calvin said as he and Cassandra watched Harlow get into her car and leave the premises of Windsor High.
