The date was January 15th, 1942; Europe was in the midst of World War 2. Professor Alexei Petrov just completed his newest invention: a Teleportation Machine! It was a large cylindrical device that could be boarded(via hatch on top). He was so proud of himself. This piece of technology was far more advanced than anything at the time (It was even more advanced than anything in modern day!), he was sure the World would surrender to the Axis Powers.
Before he could announce his accomplishment to the world, he had to test it out first. So he invited Dr. Yamamoto and Prof. Gertrude to join him. The three of them climbed down the hatch and into the cockpit. He warned them not to touch anything unless they were told to, since the machine is very sensitive. Alexei put in random coordinates to see if it would make a difference. The whole thing hummed and rattled. They all had a strange, unsettling feeling as soon as it stopped.
Alexei opened up the hatch to see nothing but complete darkness. The three of them climbed out, each with their own torch. Lumps of dread weighed them down as they explored this strange landscape. The ground looked like hardened lava, but it was a little squishy.
"Not a star in the sky." said Dr. Yamamoto as he pointed his torch upwards. Alexei saw a familiar shape far above them. "Stalactites! We're not outside! We're in a cave!". "A big cave." Dr. Yamamoto added in. Suddenly, they heard Prof. Gertrude scream!
They rushed over to her pointing her torch at the floor. She made the horrible discovery that it was made of compressed bodies! "We have to leave! We have to leave!" cried Gertrude.
Suddenly, the bodies began to move. They weren't moving by themselves; something was underneath them, pushing up. A skinny human-like hand come from in between the bodies. The three scientists took a few steps back out of fear. The creature pulled itself free and stood a mere 5 feet away from them. It was some type of naked hairless humanoid. It's skin of was completely light green. It's limbs were very skinny, almost skeletal. However, it's abdomen was large and flabby. It's lower lips hung from it's mouth, dripping with drool. It had protruding ears and jet black eyes. They have never seen anything like it in their lives.
It just stood there, not moving. Dr. Yamamoto turned to run. Just then, the creature leaped forward and tackled him like a football player. He screamed as the creature wrapped it's limbs around his body and tore chunked of flesh from the back of his neck. "Yamamoto! No!" screamed Gertrude as she watched in horror as her friend was being killed before her eyes. Alexei pulled a pistol out of his pocket and began blasting the creature's back. All that did was anger it. The creature let go of Yamamoto's now dead body, and went after Alexei.
Him and Gertrude bolted for the Teleportation Machine a scrambled inside. They made sure the hatch was shut as tight as possible. They sat down for a minute to process everything that happened. "So, the machine works." Gertrude said through tears. "I'm sorry about Yamamoto. He was my friend too." said Alexei. He then announced that he would name his invention the 'Yamamoto Teleportation Machine', in his memory. Alexei set coordinates back to where they were before.
Before they exited the cockpit, they noticed something behind them. It was 2 more of those horrible creatures. They must've gotten in when the scientists went to explore, since he stupidly left the hatch open. Both him and Gertrude screamed as they suffered the same fate as their friend.
Both the creatures climbed out of the machine, covered in blood. They were finally on the surface of the earth. Since that day, they have reproduced to great numbers and spread to every corner of the world. The reason none of us has seen them is because they are skilled in hiding in the shadows. They have ruthlessly killed millions of humans and animals, right under our noses. They won't stop until they're the only things left on the planet. Unfortunately, there is no way to kill them.
The world is in the process of ending. Not a quick death, but a slow agonizing death. One day, they will wipe out every last organism on Earth, and there won't be any warning.
