I woke up and after stretching, took a shower. I wore a simple blue sweater that was long enough to cover half my hands with skinny jeans from the closet. I made sure they had price tags so I knew no one else wore them before me. When I came out of the bathroom Alec sat there sitting on my bed again. I stood there leaning against the wall next to the door still not wanting to be anywhere close to him. He sat there silently his silver eyes burning into me.
The sun shimmered through the window shinning off his pale skin. I cleared my throat before speaking. “H-how come you don’t burn in the sun… or glitter?”
He chuckles lightly looking out the window then back at me. “I’m not a fairy… I don’t glitter.” He pulls a chain necklace hidden in his shirt holding a white stone in a black wiring. “The charm keeps me from burning.” He says getting up from my bed.
“Are fairies real?” I ask moving to the side trying to move away from him. He blinked in front of me keeping me plastered to the wall.
“Yes.”
“Is that little girl…”
“A dark one yes. They are very annoying.” He grabs my arm pulling my back to his chest and faces me towards the window. Alec wraps an arm around my waist. Slowly the hair is removed by my neck, and my heart starts thumping in my ear.
“What are you doing…” I whisper.
“I’m thirsty…” He says his lips brushing against my ear. I shake my head, my heart racing, and I dropped to my knees. A dark hiss comes from his throat and he jerks me back up pinning me to the wall so I couldn’t move. I kept my eyes squeezed shut not wanting to see his face. He moves the hair from me neck slowly sinking his fangs in. It didn’t hurt like last time but, it stung as my blood was being extracted from my system. He pulls away after licking the spot he bit. I felt his gaze on me and I kept my eyes closed. He cups his face in my hands.
“Open your eyes Tiffany.” Alec says and I shook my head. “Open your damn eyes.” He hisses again and I slowly open them. He was to his half normal self. His eyes stared coldly into mine. “It doesn’t have to hurt if you don’t make it.” He then drops his hands. I stayed there silently not knowing what to say, except he scared the crap out of me, but I couldn’t say that. He took a deep breath disappearing. He came back with a bandage putting it on my neck and covering it with a black scarf. “Come on let’s just get you some breakfast.”
We walk down to the dining room in silence. He lets me sit in the chair next to him. I didn’t say anything at all just like last time. He led me back out of the dining room and stopped when he ran into Ashlen. She requested to talk to him alone and telling me not to move Alec went with her near the entrance talking to her.
Beside the couch was a table with a home phone setting on it. I looked around no one else was there and Alec had his back to me. I slowly walked over. If my cell doesn’t work their land line should. I slowly walked over to the phone keeping my eyes on Alec. I picked up and before I could even dial the first three digits I was pinned against the wall and the phone was smashed right beside my head.
“What do you think you are doing?” He says darkly. I didn’t say anything as tears started to fall down my face. He asked me again squeezing my arms till I thought they were about to snap.
