I SAID I NEEDED SPACE~ CHAPTER 8:
~~Anna Rose ~~
INTRO:
I pick up the rest of the mess and am just about to relax on the couch when the doorbell rings
"I wonder who is here," I say and open the door, on the other side is Anna Rose
"What are you doing here Annabelle," I say immediately
"Hello Gray baby," she says and she moves to kiss me, which I pull away "who is this little one"
"Lola," I say back and her faces twists
"Yuck, who named her that, was it Avery?" she says
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALL RIGHT my babies you are spending the day with daddy," I say looking behind me in the car where all 3 girls are strapped in
"Yay daddy," Ava says
"Well at least you are excited" I reply
"I am too daddy, and so is Lolly"
"How do you know Sissy is excited?" I ask
"I just do" she replies giggling
I make the quick 10-minute journey home. When we pull up to the Peter residence I pull into the driveway. I quickly open the front door and unload the boot of the car, I give Ava and Saskia their bags to take into the house. I then take Lola out of her car seat and carry her in the car with the remaining 2 bags.
When I walk inside I see that the girls have dumped their bags on the floor in the entryway and they are sitting at the drawing table, scribbling on pieces of paper. I let them draw for a moment whilst I place Lola in her high chair with a few toys so I can go through the bags. I see she packed clothes for them in their bags as well a snack bag and I snort
"Mummy doesn't think I can look after you guys," I say to her and she giggles kicking her feet
I throw the bag full of snacks in the corner of the bench and chuckle at my full cupboard full of the food the girls like, baby food and formula.
Whilst everyone is preoccupied I then begin to make lunch which is just sandwiches for the girls, and some apple slices, with water. This doesn't take long, and luckily it doesn't because as I am plating up their food for lunch I can hear the 2 girls fighting.
"Ava, Saskia, stop fighting and share," I say, placing the small sandwich pieces, some apple slices and a sippy cup of water, on her highchair tray
"But daddy I wanted the red" I hear Saskia whine
"But I was using it" Ava retorts
"How about we have lunch?" I say and they perk up and smile running into the kitchen.
I lift each girl and strap them into their chairs before they dig in eating and I sit down next to them pulling the highchair closer to me so I can watch the baby eat closely, and I begin to eat my sandwich too
"All better now" I reply and they grin up at me, a mouth full of sandwich
Did I ever think that at 19 I would find happiness when my little girls smile at me with a mouth full of food, well no, but seeing them smile makes me the happiest and justifies the reason I get up and work every day
Well almost I mean... I am still missing one piece of my heart, but I have fucked that up big time and I do not know how I can fix it.
It's only been 3 weeks, but it feels like it's been an eternity.
