Izuku's eyes began to flutter open. He was met with the roof of a room. But not his room.
Izuku stood up, only to feel a weight next to him.
He looked next to him to see Ochako asleep. The greenette was panicking, especially after seeing more of the room. "I'm in Uraraka's room! Oh geez! What do I do? Wait, how did I get here? Was it when I was in my other form?"
Ochako began to stir awake. She rose up and saw Izuku. "Oh, morning Deku." "Uraraka? How did I get here?" Ochako looked at the boy and blushed while preparing to tell him the events of the previous night. "When you were... that thing, you brought me back here. Then you changed back, and passed out. I didn't have any other option but to let you sleep here."
Izuku was a blushing mess. "Oh." The two remained silent for a while. "We should probably get up now", said Izuku. "Yeah." They climbed out of bed as Ochako walked to her closet. Izuku looked away as the brunette got dressed. "Okay, I'm done." Izuku looked at Ochako to see her in normal clothes. He began blushing at how beautiful she looked.
"You don't have to get dressed, seeing as you're wearing the same clothes from yesterday." Izuku looked at himself to see that Ochako was correct.
"We're probably going to have to explain to everyone how we got back here, huh?" "Yeah. I bet Kacchan is going to want to fight me over my new power." "How did you get your power, exactly? What was all of that, exactly?" "I'll explain later."
The couple walked downstairs, only to be bombarded by their classmates. "You're awake! Thank goodness", said Iida. "If it weren't for that old man, who knows what would've happened to you", said Mina.
"Yeah, we know... wait, old man?" "Yeah! Oh, by the way, Mr Aizawa wants to see you two." Izuku and Ochako looked at each other, then walked out the front door. They then continued walking to the school building. "Nice to see you two are safe", said Aizawa, who was waiting at the school entrance.
"Mr Aizawa? You wanted to see us?", said Ochako. "Not me, specifically, but him." Aizawa gestured to his left. A man walked out of the shadows. He appeared elderly, and was dressed like he was from the wild west."Nice to meet you." "Hello?" "This was the man who saved you two from the league. His name is Carter Slade." "An American?" The man, known as Carter Slade, nodded.
"I'll leave the three of you then", said Aizawa, as he walked away. Izuku and Ochako looked at Carter. "Don't you be giving me the stink eye. I saved your asses from a heap of explaining."
"Huh?" Carter walked past them and gestured them to follow him.
The trio walked out of school grounds and into the city. "What are we doing here?" "In case you're confused, no, I didn't really save you two. I only told your friends that so that they wouldn't have to know of your little secret."
"Our secret?", asked Ochako. "No. His. You're the Ghost Rider, ain't ya?"
Izuku froze. "Ghost Rider?", asked Ochako. Carter leaned against the wall. "The spirit of vengeance. The devil's bounty hunter. Anyone can become that, as long as they make a deal with the demon Mephisto. Just like you did." Ochako looked at Izuku. "Deku? What does he mean?" Izuku ignored her question and walked forward to Carter. "How do you know this?"
Carter looked at a building that was currently being robbed by a villain.
He lit up in flames, as Izuku and Ochako watched him transform."Y-you're..." "The Ghost Rider? Yeah. You're not the only one."
The villain robbing the store was then stopped by Death Arms. As he took the criminal away, Carter walked out of the shadows and turned back into a human.
Izuku had so many questions. "B-but, I thought you could only to turn at night?" Carter looked at the young hero. "Did Mephisto tell you that? He was partially wrong. You see, there's a way to turn into the rider in the day." "And that is?" Carter pointed at the spot he stood at earlier. "Shadows. Just like the night, it's dark. The dark is the Rider's ally. Of course, you need to be near an evil soul, as usual. But that's not the point. The point is, I came to train you."
"What?" "You heard me. I'm going to teach you how to use the Rider's power."
Izuku was stunned. "Teach me?" "Yeah. There's more to your power than meets the eye, Midoriya." Carter walked away, but not before looking back at the greenette. "But for now, take a break. You need it after everything that happened last night." Izuku was then left with Ochako, who grabbed his hand. "Deku..." "Yeah? What is it?" "He said you made a deal in order to become that thing. What was your deal?" Izuku looked down to the ground with a pained expression. "It was... to save my mom."
Ochako clasped her hand over her mouth.
"I know. It was stupid. I made a deal with someone to save my mother. I changed fate. I became a monster. I shouldn't have..."
Izuku was silenced by Ochako's lips crashing into his. "Deku, if I were in your position, I would've done the same. And you are not a monster. You are, and always will be, my Deku."
Izuku felt tears begin to grow out of the rim of his eyes. "Thank you, Uraraka." "Deku, we went on a date and confessed yesterday, and today we kissed. The way I see it, that makes us a couple. So call me by my first name." "Oh, okay, Ura... I mean, Ochako." "That's more like it, Izuku. I can call you that, right?" "O-of course!"
The new couple held hands and walked back to UA.
