Third PersonAfter a long night searching through grimoires, Frankie and Rebel ordered an Uber to take them home. The only thing Frankie found in the books was a spell confiding anyone she wanted to be bounded to that area. And another spell that she couldn't wait to share with Imogen.
Inside the Uber, Frankie leaned her head on Rebel's shoulder, catching a quick snooze. Rebel turned his head to the window, hiding the blush that flushed up to his cheeks. All last night he enjoyed watching the way her eyebrows pinched together and her lips pursed while reading through the book.
If he was cartoon during those moments— he would be the bunny with heart eyes shooting out.
The ride went by quickly, and the app automatically took the money from Rebel's account. He gently shrugged his shoulder, waking her up. She practically jumped from the car and skipped up the porch to their house. Two weeks ago, Frankie spent her weekend adorning the porch with Fall theme decorations.
After banging on the door for almost a minute, Robert opened the door in his jammies and his bed hair still intact. Frankie leaped into the house apparently that twenty-minute nap gave her a burst of energy.
Bursting through Imi's door, Imogen's eyes widened in shock as she jerked upward in bed.
"Oh my god, Franks did you drink four cups of coffee again?" Imogen joked, a smile reaching her eyes; something that hasn't happened in a while.
"I wanted to show you something," she smiled, rubbing her hands together.
One spell last night caught her eye and it was simple enough that toddler could learn it. She grabbed Imogen's arm and dragged her from the bed.
"We have to go outside for me to try it," Frankie's eyes beamed with excitement.
Maybe being a witch wasn't too bad.
"Okay, Okay," Imogen giggled. "Let me grab my slippers."
Imogen dugged her foot in her sacred ducky slippers and followed being the jumping Frankie. Seriously how does she have this much energy? Imogen was walking at a snail's pace frustrating Frankie leading her to grab her arm without warning.
After countless almost accidents, they reached the screen door leading to their leaves covered backyard. All the leaves had changed colors, lining the leaves with speckles of orange, red, and yellow. Frankie jumped into the pile of leaves while Imogen watched from the deck confused on how this had to do with magic.
"Okay, ready?" Frankie winked.
Imogen nodded, biting her lip nervously.
Closing her eyes, Frankie raised one hand and softly muttered the new spell she had learned. Her purple aura gathered on her fingers shooting down to the dozens of leave piles. The next thing left Imogen in utter astonishment. The colored leaves on the ground along with the few left on the branches formed into a giant ball.
Then the ball started spinning and flying around the two girls. Imogen giggled, feeling the leaves as rough as paper yet shining brightly through the sun. The leaves twirled around her creating thousands of shapes with magic particles following behind them. Slowly, Frankie opened her eyes wanting to take in the entire scene around her.
For this small moment; everything was great.
A moment for the two to always share.

For the rest of the day, Frankie had been hiding in her room with her face stuffed in grimoires. She kept searching through the dozens of spells hoping to find the one to unlock the truth about her father. All the countless hours helped Frankie to realize certain spells were in different languages expect when she touched the page it would transform into english.
