The Student's Romance (Lawlu)

Four

"Luffy, Are you okay?" asked Robin. Luffy smiled and nodded. Still red for the kissing session he had with Law.

Taking her hand he led her to the dance floor. Taking her around the waist his laughter carried up to Law who was still sitting in the treehouse. Luffy didn't see Law again that night he stayed with his social group. Law didn't move much either, he observed Luffy from the treehouse dancing with his friends, eating, and even the silent moments he had to himself. 

'I need to see him alone again', Law thought to himself.

The morning sun was far too bright for the young green hair teen. Zoro rolled over, finding a Luffy cuddled up next to him. Resting his chin on the top of his head, Zoro played with his hair, the messy black jumble was soft and silky. Bang! 

'Jeez, what was that noise! Just when I was enjoying his warmth' thought Zoro,

"Oi! You two! How long you going to sleep for, were going to be late", shouted a pissed-off Sanji from downstairs. Zoro woke Luffy gently, reminding him of the university. Smiling to himself when Luffy round over, the sun lightening his soft features. 'Super cute", Zoro thought, "Hey Luff we need to go to class come on". Bolting upright with panic Luffy jumps out of bed. Throwing on his clothes he shouts at Zoro.

"Shit! Come on Zoro, we can't be late. Wait a minute why were you sleeping here?" questioned Luffy with a large grin,

"Erm, yeah I guess I passed out without thinking about it", replied Zoro,

"You should sleep here more often, I didn't have a nightmare" smiled Luffy innocently, a shade of pink coated his cheeks.

'Shit that was cute' Zoro thought to himself, as he got dressed. Sliding down the banister Luffy shouted at the top of his lungs, being caught by Sanji. Grinning widely at the blonde, he fell to the floor. 

"Ouch, Sanji", said Luffy,

"Come on eat! Otherwise, you won't be having any meat", threaten Sanji. Running to the table Luffy shoveled the cooked meat into his mouth. Fist pumping the air he shouted done, rushing to the door, he grabs his things and waited. The group follows soon after. Walking we Zoro, Luffy wiggled next to him.

"Luff, what's going on? Why are you wiggling?", question Zoro,

"Can I tell you something?", asked Luffy, the pink coating from this morning getting darker. Nodding Zoro listening to Luffy talk about a guy that he may have feelings for. Getting hopeful Zoro asked for the guy's name.

"Law", said Luffy, "We actually talked in classics class the other day and then at the party," he smiled at Zoro, who simply smiled back. Running to the station they just made it onto the train. The overhead speaker reminding them not to run on the platform. The group laughed. Luffy looked out of the window thinking about Law and Ace, while the other members of his group talked about the party last night.

Walking to class Law saw the wild group of the corner of his eye again. He notices Luffy trailing behind everyone else alone. Sneaking up behind him, he held on to his hand and placed a finger to his lips, indicating to Luffy to stay quiet. Smiling he leads Luffy off the normal path.

"Sorry for taking you away from your friends', smiled Law,

"No it's fine is everything okay?", asked Luffy,

"I should be asking you that Luffy-ya", commented Law, turning to face Luffy he smiled, stroking away the tear that had silently fallen from his cheek, "Are you thinking about Ace?",

Luffy wildly wiped his face, smiling back at Law with puffy eyes he shook his head, "It's fine, I should head to class, otherwise Zoro will get mad". Law wasn't convinced that he was fine. Taking out a piece of paper, Law held on to Luffy's hand again, "Here take this", Law said while handing him a piece of paper, "I'll see you at classics on Thursday?", asked Law.

Smiling Luffy nodded. Putting the paper in his pocket, 'I'll look at this later', he thought.

Classes pasted as normal. Their last two classes were free period. Luffy wasn't quite at the top of his classes like Zoro or Sanji but he was definitely passing at a decent grade, unlike Usopp, who didn't have a chance at passing at the moment. 

"Man I have to stay behind and work more with the professor', complain Usopp,

"That's because you never study", laughed Sanji, "Hey Zoro, Luffy wanna head back to the flat"

"Sure, as long as we can get take out pizza of the way home", demanded Zoro,

"I think I'm gonna head to the campus cafe", smiled Luffy, "I don't wanna fall behind like Usopp', he joked, sticking his tongue out in his direction.

"LUFFY!~", shouted Usopp as Luffy ran off laughing. 

"That boy is always joking", said Sanji as he rolled his eyes,

"Yeah, your right but at least he took his studies seriously this time", smiled Zoro,

*** At the Cafe ***

The Cafe was quiet as most people didn't like to study there, which made it the perfect place for Luffy. A young green-haired woman handed Luffy his coffee and a slice of cake, "Here Luffy-nii, I saw you walk in. The usual coffee and cake for you", she smiled,

"Thanks, Camie, you know me too well. I'll pay when I leave", replied Luffy,

Smiling she turned to the next customer. Luffy took his place at the booth. Smiling he saw Camie had set it up for him to be there for a few hours. A few bottles of water and some snacks. Winking at her, he grinned giving her a thumbs up. 

'Now, all I have to do is pass this 1000 words assignment', he thought to himself.

Some time had passed before Luffy had noticed, it wasn't until Luffy realized he ran out of coffee. Walking back up to Camie, he puts a hand into his pocket. Pulling out the piece of paper Law gave him, he orders another cup, "Mind if we make this one a black coffee Camie, I don't wanna fall asleep like last time", he chuckled, 'Law gave me his number' he muttered,

"Sure Luff, What are you working on?", She asked, 

"Teaching styles, it's a little boring, but I just love it! There are many different ways to teach someone", he rambles became excited. Camie Looked lost at him.

"Luffy-ya, I think you lost her", smiled Law, "You didn't read my note did you", the older man said. Looking at Law Camie blushed red as she handed Luff his coffee. Looking to the floor Luffy pointed to the booth where he was.

"Care two join me?", he asked, "I would love to. One black coffee please', said Law, "No worries I'll bring it over", giggled Camie.
