The Student's Romance (Lawlu)

Fifteen

Law yawned as he walked into the kitchen. Stretching out his tired body he scratched the back of his neck and flicked on the coffee machine. 
Even with Luffy here I still have sleepless nights, glad I got all that work done tho', Law thought to himself. Pouring himself a coffee he grabs the new paper sticking out of his door and sat on the balcony. Lightening a cigarette he sat in peaceful silence. Until...

Ring, Ring, Ring, 

Looking down he saw an unknown number trying to ring him. 
Law; Hello?

Zoro; It's me, why are you and Luffy not at University today?

Law; Luffy was feeling overwhelmed yesterday so we took the day off to sleep and unpack.

Zoro; Right okay, Can we come over later? 

Law; Sure Zoro,

Zoro; Cool see you at 8, Bye-Law.

Law; Laters,

Groaning, Law leaned back into his chair. Shutting his eyes he wondered what he would have to make for food later, maybe he would do snacks.
"Fuck!", came from the bedroom. Law looked up to see Luffy running around.
"Luffy-ya are you okay?", he asked the panicked boy, Luffy smiled and explained that his job needed him for a few hours today.
"Luffy I didn't know you had a job?", 
"Yeah, I work at a little cafe like Camie, it's only part-time or when they need me. Why don't you come and have a drink I'll only be there for a few hours", he smiled. Law nodded, Luffy played with Bepo while Law changed. 

"Bye Bepo, be back later", Luffy called out, Law chuckled.
"My work is actually closer to your apartment", chimed Luffy. Walking into the cafe Luffy was met with a crying manager. Throwing her arms around him she smiled.
"LUFFY~ Your here", 
"Yes, Manager. I'm here. Law you wanna sit over there", he said to him as he ran behind the counter, "Sorry for the wait can I help", he smiled.

"He really is amazing", the manager said, admiring Luffy as he put on his red apron, before turning to Law, "You must be Law. He talks about you non-stop. It's a pleasure to meet you, let me get you a coffee. How do you like it?",
"Black, please", he smiled, turning to look back at Luffy who was now glowing with happiness.
He watched Luffy serve the customers, wipe the tables and even lift things out of the back.
He listened to the female staff members talking and fawning over him. Giggling they walked over to Luffy. 

"He's been a godsend to us, you know", she said, with a gentle smile, filling up Law's second cup of coffee before her own.
"Oh," replied Law, gesturing for the manager to sit down.
"I don't normally hire men. They never stay more than six months. However Luffy hasn't left in three years", she looked down at her cup, before smiling at Law,
"Let me tell you some stories", she giggled.

Law loved hearing about all of Luffy's past adventures from his Manager. She acted and cared for him as a mother would, it was delightful to see.
"Manager I'm off", Luffy shouted,
"Luffy I told you time and time again, it's Yuna when you leave", she smiled,
"Bye Yuna, Mind if I come by again", asked Law,
"Come by anytime Law", she smiled waving the boys off.
Luffy looked at Law curious about what they had talked about. Law smiled back at him. Their silent conversation confused passers-by. Luffy shrugged, smiled, and ran ahead of Law.

When they got back Bepo ran and jumped into Luffy's arms. the gentle purrs made Luffy smiled,
"Traitor", mumbled Law, causing Luffy to laugh harder.
Putting Bepo on the fluffy bed he had got for him, Luffy started to unpack his stuff. starting in the bedroom, then into the living room.
Looking at the time he flopped on the sofa, "Ah~ finished at its still only 5", he hummed.
"Five! Shit, we have to go to the store, Zoro and Sanji are coming over and I have no food", Law panicked, but soon calm down as he heard Luffy laughing.
"Tarao, don't worry. When are they coming", 
"8pm",
"We have three hours let's go now and then we can relax", he smiled before kissing the tip of his nose gently.

***** 8PM - At Law's flat *****

Knock, Knock, Knock

"Hey come in, Luffy is on the balcony", Law said letting them in, "I didn't know if you would have eaten so I just got snacks and a few beers", he shrugged,
Sanji and Zoro thanked Law and walked into the living room.
"Fuck your flat is so nice", comment Sanji,
"Thanks", he chucked, "Luff! Zoro and Sanji are here", 

A hyper Luffy burst into the room taking Zoro down with a jump hug. Laying on top of him Luffy laugh and wrapped his arms around his neck. Zoro smiled before sitting up.
"Good to see you Luffy", he patted the smaller male, "But its only been two nights", 
Luffy nested into Zoro's neck and refuse to let go, making Zoro roll his eyes. Placing his hand under Luffy's arse he stood up holding Luffy a little along much to Sanji and Law's jealous annoyances. 

Placing him on the sofa Zoro smiled before heading to Sanji.
"Luff you know Sanji and I are dating, right?", he asked, Luffy's smiled faded quickly. Looking between Sanji and Zoro,
"Sorry I didn't know", he replied, "Sorry Law I got excited and didn't think, I'm going to shower I'll be right back", smiled and ran to the bathroom. 
"Looks like we upset him", Sanji said,
"He'll be fine, food looks good Law", he smiled

Luffy jumped in the shower as the tears fell down his cheeks, he felt as if he hurt the people in the room next door. after composing himself he peeks behind the door to see, the three males were laughing and joking as nothing had happened. 
"Luffy, come out from the door and have a beer will ya", Zoro said dryly, "No one's mad so stop being stupid", he chuckled throwing a can of beer in Luffy's direction. 
Luffy sat next to Law and cuddle into his arm. The four males laughed and joked most of the evening before Sanji asked about what the plans were after university. 

"Well i have two years lefts then I start a four year work plan with the hospital being a medical student", Law stated, "What about you?", 
"Well the three of us take the same teaching course. So hopefully after University we'll be going to teaching positions", replied Zoro,
"How long do you have left", asked Law,
"3 more years", sipped Sanji,

"I wonder were we will all be in a years time?", asked Luffy,
