This can't be happening...

I can't believe this....

Mabel needs to hear this....

I quickly rush to my room and pick up my phone which I had left on the bedside table..

I quickly dial Mabel's number, she picks up after the third ring.

"Babes missed me "

This girl is crazy....

"That is not why am calling you, Mabel guess what"

"You are spending your Christmas holidays in Abuja right, I knew it the way you were shedding tears earlier I knew you won't bear to be away from me for three weeks awwnn I love you too boo....."

She kept rambling...

Is this one OK....

"Hey hey wait slow down OK am definately not spending my holidays in Abuja but I wish I am"

"So then why are you calling me"

" BECAUSE my mom just informed me that we won't be going to my dads place again, that we will be going to Ondo instead that there is going to be some family meeting or something I don't care I just don't want to go to Ondo my cousin's will be there you know especially Christy oh I feel like dying"

I heard shuffling of feet in the background and then I heard clicking sounds..

"Ehn but you should be telling your parents not me now, oh do you want me come with you"

"Seriously, instead of you to console me you are telling me this  I should have just laid down on my bed and cried myself to sleep, calling you was a total waste of time"

"Before.... Shebi I always tell you that you don't have sense but you won't listen, you don't want to go to Ondo, as a sensible person you are supposed to tell your parents, then give them your reasons of refusing to go, am sure they won't force you"

"See this one, so you think I haven't tried talking to my mom, but she has blatantly refused said something like they are family and that I should try and get along with them and that they are nice I should just get to know them more, Mabel I have known those guys for like ten years now how much time do I need"

"Hmmm so now what are going to do?"

"I honestly don't know"
I slowly lay down on my bed facing the ceiling

"Am so sorry dear thats really bad you now"

"Thank God your senses are back I was beginning to think you have taken it and made that meatpie you are eating, like don't you ever get tired of eating all the time wait do you ever get tired?"

"Actually my senses are inbuilt so it is not removable and am eating jollof rice not meatpie, can you have some, no am not sharing now back to our discussion what are you going to do girl...."

"I guess I will keep on trying to convince her and if she insists I will have no choice but to accept my fate"
I said making fake sobs and wipe Invisible  tears from my face .

I wish my mother was eavesdropping on this conversation, maybe it will make her change her mind....

"Ouch. I am so sorry darling I wish I can help, you know that  if I could I would right"

"Yes I know just help me in prayers OK..."

"Sure, and hey have you solved those maths questions in page 40?"

"I think I have wait let me check"
I drop my phone on the bed and get my school bag from my closet, I bring out my maths textbook and luckily my maths notebook is stuck Inside,I must have left it there last night

I hurriedly get back to the bed and put the phone on speaker..

"Hey are you still there"

" yes, so have you?"

"Yes, I have should I call out the answers for you..."

"Call what, just snap everything and send it for me on WhatsApp"

"I don't have data"

"If you don't have data let your phone crash on the floor this moment"

"God forbid I reject it in Jesus name"

"Better, now hurry up and send it I want to start going through it now"

"Yes ma'am"
I reply rolling my eyes

"Good girl am waiting bye"

"OK b...."
Before I could finish saying bye she hung up

Father Lord please bless my friends with small sense....

I switch on my data and snap the solutions and send it to her, I then check my unread messages and I see one from Hafeez my classmate from primary school, he just sent a hi and I quickly type and reply him with 'hello'..

There were other messages but I ignore them and tap on Folake's

I had three unread messages from her which read;

Hey babes..

Why are you not online sef, its always when am online that you would not come online abi......🤨

I have officially unfriend you...

I just laughed and replied;

I have accepted...

And immediately like she was expecting my reply she quickly responded;

FK❤:Mtcheeew..... Crazy fish

Me: 😂😂😂😂 you mah crayfish....

I quickly logged out because I am not ready for her troubles.

I plug the phone to charge and head to the kitchen to get dinner.

That night as I went to sleep I prayed:

"Father lord, I know am a sinner please forgive me, please touch my mothers heart let her change her decision about us spending the holidays in Ondo, I promise not to disobey you again and secondly Lord as I am starting my exams on Monday lord grant me success amen and my friends Folake and Mabel please bless them with common sense in Jesus name . Amen".....
