"Merry Christmas mama. What are you and Kelly doing today?" Michelle said through FaceTime.

"Yeah, mom I'm not sure if his coach will let him leave for the holiday. But since we live in Houston maybe" Michelle shifted the camera back to her.

"It shouldn't be that hard but it will be fine if it doesn't work out. We can always catch you another time" Ms. Jones said.

"We'll definitely work that out" Michelle said.

"Honey how's it going meeting the family?" My mom asked.

"It's going very good actually. I was so nervous but Stefon has helped me and his family is really nice so it's easy too. As far as I know, they all love me"

"That's good. Make sure you're not slouching and don't grind your teeth" Ms. Jones said.

"Thanks Mama. I'll be by to drop my gifts off before New Years" Michelle turned her head so that her mother wouldn't see her roll her eyes.

"Ok. That car I'm still paying on is your gift from me. Love you" her mom said, trying to make it sound like a joke.

But Michelle knew she was serious. She lets her know every time they talk that she pays for the car

"Love you too. Bye mom" Michelle said then hung up and let out a huge sigh.

"You okay babe?" Stefon asked grabbing her hand and rubbing it.

"Yes. She just irks me sometimes. But your mom told me to be patient so I'm working on that"

"That's right. One day she'll come around"
