Wait what! Child!? Did this handsome douche just call me child, like hello I could take you out right now you naïve son of a b- "Focus Phoebe" Indigo said.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. "I-I came to ask for shelter from your pack." I stammered while looking down at the floor and fidgeting with my fingers so that I looked nervous and scared.

"Why would we give you that?" he asked giving me a curious look.

"Please, please, I'm a really hard worker, I can do your packs cleaning, cooking anything, name it and I can do it. I just need some shelter for a few days and I'll leave. Please." I said to him in a desperate tone.

He was quiet for a few moments as he assessed the situation I just presented him with before he spoke again.

"Why or what were you running from?" he asked me suddenly while glancing behind me.

I looked down at the floor and began silently sobbing again, letting a few sobs escape my mouth just for added effect. I looked up again and spoke in a soft voice "I-I was being chased by other rogues. Th-they wanted to uhm they wanted to..." I began sobbing silently as they waited with clear impatience, yet curiosity of what happened to poor little me. "They had cornered me in the forest where I was sleeping and they began touching me and telling me that I had to pay for sleeping on their lands and I tried to fight them but they were too strong, but before they could do anything else, hunter's appeared and we all ran. I've been running for two days now, I was so scared, I didn't look back." I lied smoothly to them.

What a great cover up Phoebe, your killing this audition I thought to myself as I gave myself another mental high-five.

Mr. handsome douchebag was quiet for a few more moments before he said the words that brought a great flood of relief through me.

"You may enter the pack lands, but before anything else happens...our alpha would like to see you first." Great this will make my job easier, now I don't have to search for the office or records and I can leave sooner.

"Follow me" he ordered.

And without hesitation I followed him and the rest of the wolves to the pack house most probably. I wiped my tear with the hem of my sweater tired of their presence on my face, I don't cry and fake crying just irritates me.

We walked for a couple of miles neither one of us talking. The others left awhile ago so now it's just me and Mr. handsome douche with him leading the way and me trailing behind at a respectable distance, but this was getting boring now.

I know I'm an assassin with a hard background story and all but honestly I'm genuinely the nicest person I've ever met. So I decided to make the first move at creating a conversation.

"So...what's our name? I'm Penelope White." I said quietly but I knew he could hear me; he glanced back at me before looking forward again.

Just before I gave up hope he said "Xander."

Wow, that's a pretty cool name. "That's a pretty cool name." I told him.

"Thanks" was his only reply.

After that we walked the rest of the way in silence.

About another thirty minutes later the pack house or more like pack mansion came into view.

It was a four story building with crisp white walls on the outside and flower beds spread along the sides of the magnificent building.

The front had four giant pillars holding it up, it also had the biggest door I've ever seen, I mean I know the pack house at my pack was big but this, this was a whole new level, no wonder this pack is ranking at the top.

Unfortunately for me I couldn't stop and stare in awe because Xander never stopped walking.

He pushed the massive doors open and walked in without even looking back to check if I was still following him, but I got the message and continued on after him.
