She stares at her wrist watch as if her life depends on it. She went out of her classroom and walks quickly on her way to the gymnasium because her watch suggest that she's running late for the practice.Lee Ji Eun is a cheerleader. Contrary to her uptight and distant personality, she tried joining the cheerleading squad for the first time during her freshman year and luckily she got accepted and became a member of their cheerleading squad. It has been her life for the past three years. For the first time in her life, she was able to find something she enjoys doing.
Lee Ji Eun is just a typical college student. So normal and so boring. But she prefers it that way. Actually she created some rules for herself in order to maintain her peaceful student life. Her first and only rule goes "Never associate yourself with famous people." She knows that being associated with any of them will only get her the exposure and attention she doesn't really like. Well of course she also gets a lot of exposure and attention as she's a cheerleader but watchful eyes looking only at her is a different story.
Although there was nothing to break the monotony of her days as a student and everything seems to be in a routine, she never gets sick of it. Despite living in a pathetically small world without having lots of friends or exciting social life, being able to have the freedom to do what she wants is more than enough for her.
When she arrived at the gymnasium she noticed that there's a basketball game on the other half of the court. But she's too worried about her tardiness that she didn't even bother to take a glimpse on the players. She hurriedly went to the locker room to deposit her things and change her clothes. There was no one there probably because she's the only member who's late and everyone else were doing their routines already.
She tied her long straight black hair with her purple scrunchy after changing her clothes. She was about to go out when she felt something crawling over her shoulder. She opened her locker to look for her small mirror to see whatever creepy thing is crawling behind her.
But it was too late when a big and hairy spider bit her nape causing her to scream. She instinctively held her neck because of the excruciating pain caused by the spider bite.
"What happened? Are you okay?" She heard someone asked. Her eyes were closed as she lean her back against her locker. She felt someone held her neck as if inspecting something. She opened her eyes slowly, and shock registered to her face when she saw him in front of her. It was Jeon Jungkook. The ace shooter of their University Basketball team. His worried face was so close to hers that she can even smell his alluring scent.
Before she could even react, people were already inside the locker room probably because they were also alerted by her loud screaming. They were looking at them as if they've seen something utterly disturbing. It's when she realized their awkward position. She was leaning against her locker door while JK was standing in front of her, close enough to cause an imaginative mind to work its wonders. Not to mention his hand on her neck. Her face instantly turned red. Her knees suddenly became weak and if it wasn't for the locker that's supporting her weight, she would've fallen down.
"Ji Eun has kiss burn." someone shouted. "Are you guys making out?" The crowd roared like thunder. Teasing and catcalling. Ji Eun almost cried at the humiliation because of the misunderstanding. She suddenly wished to be swallowed up by a wormhole at the very moment and leave for a different dimension. But before it could happen, she was able to find the strenght to leave. She went out of the locker room, pushing her way out of the big crowd. She didn't even bother to convince them that it was just a misunderstanding. She knows that denying something is as good as confirming it.
While trying to escape from humiliation, she realized that her normal student life will no longer be the same after her encounter with Jeon Jungkook.
