-I got this idea in the middle of the night. the art is not mine. This is one of my OTP ships, other than logicality and prinxeity. In this AU, the light sides are different first responders (ex: Roman is a firefighter) and the dark sides are criminals (ex: Deceit is a thief who works on the black market). !Warning!Mentions of Blood and Murder, Some Light Swearing. Sorry, this is super long. Hope you guys like this.-

Detective Logan Barry was working on a case. There was a serial killer on the loose and he had to find him and catch him before the killer...killed...anyone else.

Logan's POV

I found files on every killer on the loose in Brooklin. Believe me, that was hard. Why I was put on this case, I don't know. There were many detectives that were considerably better than me. Take one of my colleagues, Virgil Millers. He can catch criminals and gangs because he was one, and as the saying goes, "To catch a criminal, you have to think like a criminal". Don't get this wrong, as Virgil is no longer a criminal, and I am grateful for that. I am just saying, that Virgil can find criminals because he can think like one. This makes him a better detective than me.

I flip through the files and one catches my eye. A man with emerald green eyes and a brown handlebar mustache. a little cliche, if you ask me, but on this particular man, it was a nice touch. I didn't realize I was staring until I heard a voice behind me.

"quit drooling over that file, it's creepy." I turn around to see Detective Virgil Millers looking at me, a cup of coffee in one hand and a rolled-up newspaper in the other. I felt my mouth but didn't feel anything unusual.

"What do you mean? I am not drooling." I say. Virgil visibly rolls his black-make-up-covered eyes. "Do you need any help?" He asks, walking over to me and the files. He gives the file with the mustached man a dark look. "Remus." I'm slightly confused until Virgil explains that he knew Remus because they were a part of the same gang.

"Remus can never get caught." Virgil continues, "He seduces every victim before he kills them. This includes cops." I thought that this was especially strange, but what I found stranger was a nagging feeling that I wanted to try and find this Remus person. "Listen to me, Logan," Virgil takes my shoulders firmly, shaking me a little. "Don't go looking for him. You'll just be added to the list of victims." I nod, unable to say anything out of shock. Virgil looked traumatized by just the very mention of this man. I had a nagging feeling in my stomach that this was the man I was looking for. I saw his last name. Prince. I knew someone with the exact same last name.

(Time skip brought to you by my being a dumb and lazy ass.)

Lieutenant Roman Prince works as a firefighter. He and I met in high school and we have been friends ever since. I walked into the large garage filled with firefighter gear and intimidating rose-color firetrucks. I was getting distracted when I heard someone slide down the pole on the other side of the garage.

"Well if it isn't my favorite Microsoft nerd!" Roman said. He was wearing a white Snow White t-shirt and grey sweatpants.

(Hold On! For some reason, I imagine Roman with a slight British accent. okay, you can keep reading.)

"Salutations Roman," I said, pulling out a photo of Remus. "I was wondering if you knew this person." As soon as I handed the photo of Remus to Roman, his ruby eyes looked dark. his eyebrows furrowed and his smile drooped into a slight frown.

"This is my brother." He said, giving the photo back. "He ran away during my junior years in high school. Why are you looking for him?" I told Roman about the case. He nodded sadly. "That sounds like Remus. If you want to find him, you should ask someone who knows him personally. After he ran away."
