Kelsey's POV

I wake up to the sweet smell of Anne's blueberry pancakes. I thought I was at Michael's house. I sit up and look over where Michael was. He isn't there. I am at Michael's house. I get up and slowly make my way to the kitchen.

I peak inside and see Anne in the kitchen. Michael is no where to be seen.

"Anne? "

She clinched up for a second. "Good morning, Kelsey. "

I sat down on the stool next to the counter.

"It smells delicious, Anne. "

"Thank you. "

She's acting weird. Why hasn't she turned around yet?

"Anne..turn around. "

Anne puts down her utensils and leaned against the counter next to the stove.

"You weren't suppose to be in here so early...I haven't cleaned up yet. "

"I don't care if you have flour or pancake mix on you ", I giggled, "Just turn around. "

She didn't move.

"Anne... "

"Kelsey, please... Go back to the bedroom. "

I stood up.

"You're scaring me, Anne...turn around... "

She still doesn't move. I slowly make my way toward her, when I nearly slipped on something on the floor. I looked down.

"Blood.... "

Anne turned toward me. She was covered in blood. Her hands, her face, her shirt, her pants, her shoes, her hair.... I couldn't tell from the back.

I ran to Anne and grabbed her.

"Who did this to you? "

She didn't answer. I ran to the phone, nearly slipping again.

I started to dial 9-1-1, but something came over me. I turn and look at Anne. She's crying.

"You...you don't have any cuts or stab marks on you... Where did this blood come from? "

I look on the floor and notice a trail from the kitchen leading to the basement door next to the refrigerator. I hang up the phone and walk to the door. I look at Anne who has fell to the floor crying.

I open the door, turn the light on, and the blood leads down the stairs to the right. I clench my jaw. I slowly make my way down the stairs. I turn right and the blood leads to the freezer.

I walk over to it and say a small prayer. Then I open it. When the fog disappears, my heart stops beating. I let out a heart wrenching scream.

Michael is laying there with his stomach cut wide open. His insides are missing. His eyes are frozen open. His throat is slit.

I slide to the floor. Holding on to the edge of the freezer.

My heart is beating to fast. To fast. To fast. To fast. To fast.

I fall back and hit my head hard on the concrete floor. All I see is the ceiling light. It swings back and forth slowly. My vision starts to blur. Soon, nothing but black consumes my eyesight.

"Michael! Michael! Michael! "

I sit up fast. Remembering the events that happened earlier.

"Michael! Michael! Michael! "

Its dark. I can't see a thing. I bear footsteps coming toward me. Then, I feel arms wrap around me. I get scared. I start struggling until I hear his voice.

"I'm here. I'm here, Kelsey. Everything is alright. I'm here. "

"Turn the light on. "

I wanted proof that it was him.

I hear the bed groan and then I hear a click sound. Light spreads through the room. I quickly look toward the man that I wanted to be here. He turns around and looks at me.

It is him! I immediately start crying. I reach my arms out for him to hold me.

Michael's POV

I take Kelsey in my arms. I squeeze her and kiss her forehead. She must've had a terrible dream about me. I don't want her to ever think I'm not here or that I left her. That'll never happened.

She has to see a therapist. Now is not the time to tell her. I'll do it tomorrow.
