Ruby stared at the beautiful girl in front of her who was looking back at her with an annoyed look on her face. The nephilim couldn't help but take in the girl's beauty, not even noticing the strong amount of power coming off of her. Her blue eyes stared back into her own, her auburn hair falling across her face as she sat up from the cot she was laying on. Ruby suddenly realized she was asked a question and stumbled on her words.
"O-Oh! I'm Ruby Sullivan. A new student here at the Salvatore School, and who might you be?"
As beautiful as the girl before her was, she could also tell this was a time when she was getting sleep for the first time in ages. She could feel the waves of stress and sadness leaving her body. Ruby wanted to ask about it, but knew it was too soon as she didn't even know her name yet. Hope simply stared at the girl at the entrance of her secret room biting her lip. The tribrid had gone a long time now without interacting with anyone else.
Ever since the prior year when the entire school found out who she actually was she had been shunned by everyone else and accepted this fate for herself. Her first boyfriend had betrayed her and before that her girlfriend of seven months had betrayed her trust by falling for another. At least she was told about it before anything happened was all that Hope had held onto.
When Hope had gone through everything with Roman, she was sure that Josie would've been there for her, cared for her and been a friend to her. But instead, her twin sister, Lizzie spread nasty rumors about the tribrid and Josie said nothing. So Hope gave up and let herself be shunned from the likes of the school. Now she spent her days in this secret room she created with her magic grieving her parent's death and painting. She could care less about everyone else, because they could care less a bout her.
The tribrid was brought back to the situation at hand when Ruby chuckled under her breath and leaned against the wall. Hope bit her lip and looked away from the beautiful blonde staring at her face as if she were analyzing it. It made the tribrid blush under the pressure and get up, coughing as she did so to cover up the rising blush. "I- I'm Hope. Hope Mikaelson."
Ruby nodded, tilting her head at how adorable she thought the girl was. She licked her lips just as she heard her name being called from outside the entrance of the room. She knew that Hugo would be able to find her by her scent, and because she had a feeling this girl wanted this place to be kept a secret she turned toward the entrance and held her ear to it.
"Is anyone around you?"
The werewolf on the other side of the bookshelf raised a brow and shook his head, smacking himself on the forehead as he realized she wasn't able to see him and muttered a low "Yeah, coast is clear."
The nephilim turned back to the auburn haired girl and dipped her head like an old cowboy would have done in an old western movie, making the girl smile shortly before seeming to stop herself completely. "Then, I'll see myself out, Hope Mikaelson."
