Adventure to a small town part 1

That weekend we finally have a break so the boys decided to drag me out with them. Instead of a lazy pyjama day, they're knocking on my door at 9 am, "who is it?" I shout. "It's us!" I hear through the other side of the door as I open it slightly, upon realisation I slam it shut realising I'm nowhere near presentable. My PJs are basically just an oversized t-shirt and underwear and my hair looked like it had previously been home to some baby birds, "Hey Jen, open up!" I hear Charlie bang on the door again. "I'm getting changed give me a minute!" I shout back running into the bedroom to throw on a hoodie and shorts while throwing my hair into a semi neat ponytail. I take quick glance in the mirror and go to open the door, to which the boys practically fall in since they were leaning on the door. "Why didn't you let us in?" Charlie asks "we don't know each other well enough for you to see I just got out of bed look quite yet," I say patting his shoulder before strutting to take a seat at my kitchen island, it only then hits me how flirty that sounded even Owen looks awkward. "So what are you boys doing here this early on our day off?" I ask Charlie clears his throat "oh right, we were going to this park not too far from here it's got like a reservoir and it's near town" he says. "Yeah, trust the Canadian to want to go for a walk at 9 am" Owen jokes, making me burst out laughing. "I'm sorry Charlie but he's got a point, don't you just want to relax for the day?" I ask. "Cmon guys we're only together for filming We can relax when we go home, Don't you want to look around?" He responds Owen and I look at each other, he's got a point. "Fine, let me get dressed," I say hopping off my stool "feel free to make yourselves at home, do not touch my snacks in the cupboard though" I shout down the hall, wanting to make my English snacks last a little longer. After about half an hour I come out finally presentable to the outside world, deciding to wear my glasses instead of contacts, I come out to find Owen and Charlie looking through the box I specifically told them not to go through. I clear my throat and see them both jump "I'm we were just uh-" they tried to explain, "listen I'm not mad I'm willing to share my English snacks with you guys just trying to make them last until my mum sends me more" I say laughing seeing them both visibly relax. "Come on then boys, O which musical shall we annoy Charlie with today," I say linking arms with Owen and hearing Charlie groan loudly as we make our way to the car.

We pick up Jeremy on the way, I feel bad and give Charlie the aux cable to play a few of his songs. I find myself staring at the surrounding and taking in the beauty of Canada, finding differences in architecture, trees and the colours are brighter with it being summer, I begin to wonder how it'll look in winter since I've heard it gets really cold.

As we pull into the park Charlie practically jumps out "ok party people where to first?" He yells with excitement, "dude it's still pretty early let's just chill" Owen says patting him on the back I silently thank him, I love his energy I'm just not feeling it before 12 pm. We start off walking around the parking area, it's pretty big but considering we had the weekend off and it was more of a chance to get to know the guys. I felt a little out of place at first considering they'd already bonded during the boot camp week but I was slowly getting to know everyone. I was chatting with Jeremy most of the time considering Owen and Charlie are joined at the hip and I'd be seeing more of them considering they now know I only live a few doors down from them. We eventually walk far enough into the park to see the huge reservoir and Charlie's eyes practically light up when he sees a waterfall not far down.

"Guys look!" Charlie yells pointing to the area it's a cute little area with a little coffee stand not far down the rest of the area was covered in trees and a nice flowerbed display as we get closer Charlie starts looking at the waterfall he then gets out his phone and starts recording for his Instagram story. "Ok, people if you started on a tube up there and did a jump and it flew into this water," he says panning down the waterfall in the reservoir "would you die?" He asks pointing the camera to Jeremy, Owen and I.
"Yes, you would totally die" Jeremy replies running a hand through his hair, Owen looks up from his phone and starts nodding his head furiously. "Ok maybe you'd break a few bones but I think it'd be worth it," I say, Charlie's eyes light up as he high fives me "yes Jen! We should totally do it'd be awesome!" He yells I start laughing "don't encourage him, he's escaped death a few too many times as it is," Jeremy says with a hand on my shoulder, making me laugh.

"Ok, who else is hungry? Should we find somewhere to eat?" I ask the boys, they all agree and I begin searching nearby cafes or restaurants on my phone I don't see Charlie walk up and jump at his arm around me "sorry, y'know your not at work?" Charlie says smirking. "Haha hilarious I know I just thought it's nearing lunchtime and it'd nice to find a cute little cafe or something" I explain, "how about we go find on instead of Googling them" he suggests taking my phone off me and taking me by the hand and dragging me along the path. I almost blush as he takes my hand "alright nature boy, lead the way" I say as I turn to see Owen and Jeremy following behind winking and smirking at me, I roll my eyes and flip them off. Charlie looks like he's on a mission I think it might be the first time I've seen him concentrate when he's not on set, then again he and the boys goof off most of the time.

After following Charlie's lead we end up at a really adorable local café, "my lady, as requested" he says to me my hand still in his. "Why thank you kind sir" I reply to him making him laugh, "cmon guys let's eat!" He says walking into the café, we all laugh and follow him inside.
It turned out it was run by an adorable lady called Olivia, she runs the business with her daughter after losing her husband a few years ago. She makes sure we have everything we need and honestly it felt like being back home, coming from a small village everyone knew everyone. As we eat I try to ignore Charlie's eating habits I swear that boy would eat anything as long as he had maple syrup.

We finish up ready to explore some more around the small town area we'd found, Olivia gave us tips about where to go. As I went up to pay Charlie pushes in "just put hers onto my bill" he says smiling at me, "Charlie no you d-" I say but I'm quickly shushed. "Jen, you're always bringing us snacks let me buy you lunch," he says trying to reason with me. I huff in response "fine, thank you Charlie" I say giving in and giving him a light kiss on the cheek as a thank you. I see a small blush cross his cheeks as he tells Olivia to keep the change he was owed. Jeremy and Owen pay as we all thank Olivia for her hospitality as we leave, searching for the shops we were told to visit. I snap a few photos of the street and the shops to send to my mum later, the boys posing for a few. I can already tell this is the start of some of the best friendships and the best adventure I've even been on.
