Happy ending to 404

I had two endings, and let my sister pick which one I went with. Except I like the happy ending too and decided to publish it.

"Guys, I'm so sorry, it's seems like this is the end." I say to them. Our backs are all pressed against one another, facing towards are imminent death. "Not gonna lie, I didn't think I'd go out by zombies. But I'm glad to have you guys here with me." Joan says. "I love you, guys." I close my eyes, in some sort of acceptance. I don't really accept it, there is no kind of stupid movie bull here, but I feel like I have no other choice. I'm so tired. At the very least, I won't have to ask these questions anymore.

But then I hear gunshots, sounds of force. My eyes shoot open to see a group of people ambushing our ambushers. Before long, the hordes down, and all is quiet. I look at the people with alertness. These days, you don't know why someone could have helped you. Sure it could have been to be nice, but nine out of ten times, they want to see what you've got on you. But I recognize these faces, all of them. Different, yet undeniable. Mark, Amy, Tyler, Matt, Ethan...Ethan. I lock eyes with the man I've been yearning for, searching for, living for. 404 days for this moment. Before I know it, my feet are moving, sprinting towards him.

"Ethan!"
"(Y/n)!"

In a very short second, I'm wrapped tightly in his strong embrace. It's a desperate embrace, a relieving embrace. I allow myself to take this moment to sob the happiest of tears. "For over a year, I had clung onto hope that you were alive. We worked so hard to get here, to find you. God, I didn't think I'd ever find you." He kisses every inch of my face, quick, passionate, needy kisses. "I wanted to look for you, everyday. I couldn't-I couldn't believe that you weren't out there. There was just so many of us, to move around on what could have been false hope, I'm so so so sorry." I pull him tighter. "No, don't be. If you had moved, we may not have found each other now. I love you so goddamn much. I thought about you every night and in every dream. I needed you because I love you ." He rest his head on mine, the two of us just holding onto each other. I feels like it's just us despite the large group around us. "I love you too."
