I followed Taylor out the door, Inferno close in pursuit. Great, another freaking tunnel. I continued down the tunnel, beside Taylor. I suddenly remembered what happened before. ‘She is your second mate’ ‘You are a Wolf-Bender too’ echoed in my mind. It was time for me to confront Taylor about this stuff.

“Taylor?” I asked. Inferno poked my back. “Stop it!” I whipped around, punching Inferno in the stomach. He clutched his stomach, looking sick.

I turned back around to see Taylor glaring at me. Ooo, I’m so scared, I’m shaking in my shoes. Not.

“Oh really?” Taylor asked, dangerously raising an eyebrow.

“Wait, I spoke aloud?” I asked. Taylor nodded, not taking his eyes off me. Time slowed down like the stuff you see when actors run in slo-mo. Some gravitational forced pulled us together in silence. My lips almost touched his when I heard a retching noise. We both abruptly stopped, realizing what we were doing. At the same time frame we stumbled back and turned our heads to the distraction.

Inferno was bent over some rocks and barf poured out of his mouth. I crinkled up my nose in disgust as the smell reached my nose.

“Inferno, what the heck?” I asked, disgusted.. He lifted up the bird. “Gee, thanks a lot.”

“Inferno.” Taylor warned darkly. Inferno flicked up the bird again. Taylor sighed. “Just ignore him.”

Once Inferno was done throwing up, he got up and wiped his mouth. He stood in front of me, facing me directly.

“Let’s just go.” Inferno suggested, his puke-breath reaching me in waves. I choked on my breath, grabbing my throat.

“Ew, brush your teeth.” I commented, still choking. What happened with Taylor and I?

I started going, until I hear Inferno’s voice.

“It’s your fault!” Inferno exclaimed.

“Man up! You’re so weak from my punch, you puked! Be a man, not a baby!” I criticized, riling him up.

“Stop playing around! Nothing will help that the fact your dad may be dead! Do you think that this will get us anywhere?! Do you think Oren would be doing this if he lost you guys?! NO!” Taylor exploded. Taylor was right. Silence answered his (rhetorical) question(s).

I broke the silence, suddenly pumped my fist in the air, yelling “Serious mode, ON!”

Taylor chuckled, shaking his head and Inferno laughed.

“We should make our own handshake!” Inferno declared, after done laughing.

“Nah, not with you. It wouldn't be as... epic because you're a failure whale-ure.” I said like a insult pro. Inferno gave me a dark look. I clapped my hands together, ignoring him. “ So, lets get going. Bye!” I raced down the tunnel, using my werewolf speed. The ground flew under me until I ran smack into a stone slab hard, breaking it into pieces. The pieces tumbled down into darkness.

“Damn, that hurt.” I commented rubbing my head. I few seconds later, Inferno crashed into me, forgetting his brakes. I went flying into where the stone slab used to be, and was slammed into the wall on the other side. I dropped down suddenly, falling into eternal darkness.

Falling...

Falling...

“TAYLOR!” I screamed. My voice bounced around.

Falling...

I desperately tried to find a handhold as I saw something under me. It was glowing. Then I realized it was.

        Lava.

“INFERNO!” I screamed, trying another valid name, hoping someone would answer.

“EMBER!” I heard faintly. Lava swarmed under me like the sea. I remembered my wind. I concentrated hard on the wind. How it felt like. Nothing. I was doomed.

This was my fate. As I neared the lava, I accepted my death. I accepted it. The idea of dying no longer scared me. It was okay to die in a pit of lava.

Falling...

I touched the lava, a burning sensation exploding in my body. This is how I die.

Darkness enveloped me.

        Pain...
