BB, Jr, and Dill were mocking each other with the 'breakfast gone wrong' when he received his much-anticipated text from Raven. His reaction went from a mix between shocked and relieved, to disappointed and angry. He didn't really want to alarm the boys, so he didn't respond right away.

'Heh... she finally reaches out to me, and I'm supposed to jump and answer? I'll make her wait.' He thought as he assisted the boys in cleaning up the kitchen. Knowing that the food was a disaster, he got out bowls and fixed the boys some cereal to start their day.

As they munched on their Captain Crunch, he went to the living room to get the land line phone and called QB and Vic.

"I was just about to call you man, you good?" Vic said.

"Yeah, the boys tried to kill me with salt and spices this morning, but other than that, I'm okay. So what time are you and QB coming over? I think the sooner we start brainstorming on a solid plan to get Star and Mar'i back, the better."

"I agree. QB told me this morning that she made contact with Mar'i and I think I hit the roof with excitement, but we all know that things can go south very quickly."

"Yeah, I know all too well." BB then got another text notification from Raven. He quickly dismissed it then continued his conversation with Vic.

They both chit-chatted back and forth while BB simultaneously gotten several more notifications. So much so that Vic chuckled.

"Lil bro... someone's trying to get your attention this early in the morning? You sly devil you." He laughed, teasing BB.

"Whateve's dude. It's not like that. It's just... well... it's Raven."

"RAVEN!! Dude why you stalling? You've been waiting for her to contact you for weeks!"

"Exactly! Now it's time for her to wait! I'm not her lap dog dude. I'm not going to gravel at her alter. She's just my baby momma, I don't owe her anything."

"Come on man, I know you don't mean that. This is Raven we're talking about. You're in love this woman. You searched the world for her, for many years! I've seen your pain when you put your blood, sweat, and tears into finding her, and not to mention, all those sleepless nights and the complete stress when you've hit dead end.

But I've also seen the hopefulness when you thought you got a lead on her whereabouts, coming so close to finding her, and when you did, you were elated, in a weird 'I'm going to get caught, but I don't give a damn' kind of way, so." ...

BB cut him off getting a bit angered by the truth.

"Look, I just want to know when y'all are coming. I have to take the boys school shopping today. By the way, are we involving Ric? This may be a little sensitive for him, but I personally think that he should be included, I mean if it were me, I wouldn't want to be in the dark about my family." Vic got the hint that BB wasn't going to dwell on the Raven situation, then sighed...

"Yeah, QB and I were thinking the same thing. We're going to scoop him up and we'll be there in about thirty or so minutes."

"Cool, I'll be waiting, holla." BB hung up the phone then went to his bedroom.

Once inside, he laid across his bed and marinated on the words Vic said to him. He knew that all the things that his best friend said was the undeniable truth. But Garfield Mark Logan was an extremely stubborn man! He never accepted defeat, but his heart was outweighing his unnecessary judgement at the moment. He wanted to be mad at Raven. He wanted to shut her out just like he feels that she'd done to him. He wanted to not care, but he just couldn't.
