19.Tell

The entrance had a dozen body's around it, all dead. All bleeding out onto the floor, after trying to defeat upper moon 0. He was truly a force to be reckon with. What a horrid sight to see.

(Y/n)'s POV

As I approached the entrance of the village I could smell something very faint, it smelt metallic. It smelt like blood.

the smell is so familiar at this point, it's not even hard to find anymore. but I swear if that blood is from someone I know I'm going to lose it.

I was getting closer and closer, but before I could get a glimpse of what happened I felt someone behind me.

"Well well, what do we have here! Is that, that little Wisteria pillar I remember. You look a lot less sad from the last time I saw you!"

Upper moon 0, he's responsible isn't he. Though I can't beat him on my own, i'm going to have to hold out until sunrise.

"Yep it's me. (Y/n) (l/n) in the flesh, the wisteria pillar. What do you want demon."

He looked offended when I said that, maybe it was because of the way I said demon? Well that was a bad move.

"Well isn't that just rude, I have a name you know!"

Wow, one of the most powerful demons is getting offended that I don't know
His name! He's not even attacking me either.

"Well sooorry. But you mister never told me your name!"

I spoke with a playful tone. It sounded so fake, ani-san always told me what a bad actor I was.

Okay If I just keep going along with this then i could probably hold out a little longer until I have to attack. Wait my crow! I could bring up the topic of birds and then try to single him to come here.

"Ah how rude of me, getting mad over something you can't control! Well little pillar my name is, well I have a lot of names. So just call me kanashi, or kana."

He said smiling, though the smile wasn't comforting at all, it was more creepy than anything. Like at any moment he could just pounce, and I would barely have a chance at fending him off!

"S-so kanashi... what's your favourite bird, mines the crow it goes caw caw!"

I was sweating Bullets, he gave me a suspicious look before continuing.

"Right... I don't have a favourite."

His hand reached to his side, where I assume is a blade.

Oh god um going to die right here today. I'm so fucking done for. Please my dear crow send help.

"Helllllo?! Heard there were some demons here!"

The voice was coming from a bit away, they were yelling. Looking for trouble.

"Ah we have company my little pillar. Let me go deal with that!"

Kanashi turned around, his bare feet gathering dirt.

I can't let more people die at the hands of him, come on think (y/n)! I need to stop him..... so I should cut his legs off!

"Breath of wisteria first form- piercing drop."

I spoke under my breath. Slowly walking up to him, before slashing his legs off. Blood got all over my blade and pants. Before he could say anything I ran, and then I tripped. Looking down at my legs I saw him holding my ankle.

"how rude of you! Knowing you the poison is going to start getting to me."

He let go of my ankle to get his own nichiran blade, which I assume he stole from one of the demon slayers he had killed. Though I didn't see what he did with it. I just had to run to that voice, so we could both leave. I kept running until I saw a plain looking person.

"Psssst hey you!!"

I whispered yelled, waving my arms in the air. Trying to signal them to come here. I got a look at their face, it was round and they had freckles. Quite a unique face. They walked over to me, dragging their feet across the floor. Before they could make it all the way I pulled them into the bush I was hiding in.

"H-HE-"

"SHHHHHHHHHH we can't get caught."

The demon slayer looked at me as if I was crazy.

"Look, upper moon 0 is here. You and I can't fight him off ourselves, we'd need at least 2 more pillars! So we need to leave."

After explaining the situation their face turned to one of disgust. They pulled my hand off their mouth.

"You're just saying that so you can take the kill! Huh?! Don't you have any honour. Someone like you could never be a pillar. So just quit while you're at it!"

What is this person on! I'm literally already a pillar. What an annoyance.

"You see, I'm already a pillar. Wisteria to be exact. If you want to die, then go ahead but I'm leaving."

i turned on my heel, looking for a safe exit, before feeling a light tug on my uniform.

"If you're a pillar then why can't you just kill it?!"

were they not listening? i said you need at least 3 pillars worth of strength! and if you haven't noticed i'm only 1

"were you not listening, i said at least 3 pillars! do you not get that this is one of the strongest demons?"

At this point i was pretty annoyed. I just wanted to survive at this point. But in the distance i heard a voice. It was oddly haunting.

"oooooh little pillar! where are you? i promise i won't hurt you, i just want to talk to you. i swear i'm not mad at you!"

fuck. he's looking i need to leave.

"Well i'm going off, good luck with him."

with that i ran, ran as fast as my feet could carry me. leaving the young demon slayer behind.

where could (y/n) be? i've been looking for her for ages. I look down at the charm i had bought.

it's just a sign to not give it to her.

The charm was a red one. It was pretty simple, not really something that's is worth her time. Far too simple for someone like her. I should just give up on it. She's obviously in love with someone else! i'm nowhere near good enough for her.

maybe i'll get the confidence to give her something one day.
