Maree's POV
(2 weeks later)"How has your first two weeks been?" My therapist Nixie asked.
"Lonely."
"What happened?"
"Nothing happened, that's why I'm lonely." I told her without looking up from my legs.
"Would you like to talk to some people?"
"If no one wants to talk to me then I'm not going to have you go find people for me." I told her, rolling my eyes.
"Maree, this isn't going to work if you constantly have a attitude. You can't get better if you rule out everything I say."
I sighed with a frown because she's right. I came here to get better.
"Sorry." I mumbled.
"It's fine; but seriously, just start simple. If you see someone by themselves, walk over and sit with them." I gave her a 'really?' look and she chuckled.
"Don't say anything, just sit with them and continue to do what you would normally do. I guarantee that if you do that you guys will end up talking by the end of the lunch. If not, the next day go back by yourself and see if they come to you. If neither of that happens, come back Wednesday and we'll try something else." Nixie finished.
I gave her a small smile which she returned.
"Okay." I said lowly.
"Maree, also you have to take the meds. They're going to help you feel better if you take them."
"Okay." I repeated to her. She smiled and then told me I could leave.
I got up and left the room. I walked into the cafeteria and got my usual banana smoothie.
Looking around, i saw groups of girls and guys everywhere. I almost gave up until I saw a guy sitting alone. He looked scary, but not a bad scary. A scary like "don't try me, I'll kill you" scary.
I walked over to his table and sat in front of him. I could feel him staring at me, but I just kept reading my book like nixie told me.
He had jet black hair, grey colored eyes, but they looked as if they changed with the lighting. He was fairly tall, I could tell because his knees were almost touching the table. He wore all black and a frown painted on his face.
After about thirty minutes, I sat my book down because my brain was hurting. Leaning forward on the table, I laid my head in my arms.
"Ian, it's time." I heard a chair move and I saw the guy who was sitting in front of me walk out the door with a nurse.
So his name is Ian, okay.
I smiled to myself and closed my eyes, prepared to take a small nap.

I repeated the same thing as yesterday, except today I got a sprite with my salad. Kind of defeats the purpose but it's okay.I went to my usual spot and sat by the window, drinking my sprite. I opened my book "The Hate You Give" and continued reading.
I didn't even notice Ian in front of my until I put my book down ten minutes later.
I placed my hand on my chest, letting out a sigh of relief.
"Sorry." He mumbled, staring at me.
"It's okay." I replied lowly. I looked away from him but he just kept staring at me.
"Are you okay?" I asked softly. He nodded, looking down at his hands.
"He's crazy. You better stay away from him girl." I looked up to see a group of girls walking by.
