---------Bennie's POV-----------
My eyes fluttered open, something wet was being dragged across my forehead and I could just barely make out their features. The voices settled into my ears, a cool feminine voice called from the background followed by a deeper one.
"I'm sorry but you're going to have to leave now, Bryce."
"She's my mate, come on please just let me stay with her for another moment."
"I'm sorry, it's the doctor's orders. You can come back tomorrow morning."
I didn't have time to think about it before I drifted back into slumber.

"She's injured, the master said he wanted her in top shape...do we take her nonetheless?"
A ghoul-like voice whispered to someone within the darkness of what I presumed was my room.
A smacking sound echoed in my ears as a hissing voice replied.
"No you fool! The chance of her waking up as we carry her away from here is much too high. If she makes even a small sound we're both caught and dead."
A cool breeze of air hit my cheeks and just like that, the voices stopped.
I groaned and let my hands fly up to my head and felt a tugging at my veins.
I winced and felt a strong hand on my shoulder pull me back into the pillow.
I looked up into Bryce's golden eyes and immediately thought of how much time had passed.
"Bryce. How long has it been?" I questioned.
"Just over four days, do you remember anything?" He replied.
I nodded.
"Bennie...I'm so sorry I should have-"
I held my hand up to stop his insufferable ranting.
"There's nothing you could have done or said that would have persuaded me to listen to you. I made my own choice, and I don't regret it."
He grimaced as I finished speaking and I suddenly felt lightheaded.
"Ah good morning miss Logan, Alpha Lican has made it very clear that you're not to be released until a full physical has been completed." A man walked in and I recognized him to be the pack's doctor.
I nodded and extended my arm out to him.
"Take these out."

The physical came and went, mostly a test of reflexes and muscle stability. Most of the crucial healing was finished, I was only expected to treat my wounds and replace my bandages over the next few days.
'The master said he wanted her in top shape...do we take her nonetheless?'
I shuttered as I thought about the ghoul-like voice.
The voice stayed in my brain, no matter how hard I tried to shake it from my thoughts...it stayed.
"Bennie, can we talk?" Bryce questioned as I descended the stairs.
I sighed and took the steps one at a time, clutching my splitting side as I did so.
"Bryce, right now isn't the best time-" This time he interrupted me.
"It's about your parents. I know about the task Zeus has given you."
I stopped walking and turned to face him not quite knowing the words to say.
