The war for L'Manburg

The next morning, I decided to go off on my own and hunt for some food for us while Wilbur had some talk with Tommy that I couldn't be there for. As I walked, I got further from Pogtopia and that meant further away from L'manburg as well, yet I still felt like someone was following me. I shrugged off the feeling and focused on finding food. I was stopped walking and looked up to see a rabbit. I quietly pulled my bow off and took aim, I was about to release when someone from behind me spoke, scaring the rabbit off. I turned to find Alex.

"Alex, what are you doing here? How did you even find me?"

"Don't worry about it, thank God you're okay!" he said, rushing over and giving me a hug. "Schlatt is ruining everything and things got worse once he kicked you out. I heard Dream telling Sapnap he stabbed you the day you were exiled. I've been worried sick about you, but then Schlatt said you came back yesterday and well I got excited. (Y/N), I've missed you and there's something I haven't told you. I like you a lot, and I care a shit ton about you too."

"Alex, I-"

I met his gaze, then pulled him in for another hug.

"I love you, Alex," I whispered into his ear.

"I won't let Schlatt hurt you, I promise. I'm on your side now."

We let go of the hug and smiled at each other.

"Wanna help me hunt for some food? We're running low on fresh meat."

"Sure."

Alex and I were walking back to Pogtopia when we heard voices through the trees. We ducked behind a rather large tree and listened as we heard Dream, George, and Sapnap.

"Dream, you can't be his right-hand man."

"I'm on the side of chaos. I don't care what happens. Why do you think I outed (y/n) and got her exiled? Why do you think I tried killing her?"

"She's like your little sister though!" I heard Sapnap exclaim.

"She was until Tommy came!" He yelled, getting close to Sapnap's face. "He dragged her to Wilbur's side and I was completely left in the dark from her."

I feel my heart sink as I watch Sapnap step closer to Dream. I know he's right.

"Dream, that's no reason to kill her!" Sapnap yelled in his face.

"Maybe, maybe not," Dream said as he backed away a few steps. "Maybe it has to do with something completely different. I guess you guys will just never know."

"I think we should get back to town," I heard George say, trying to break up their argument.

The three went silent and I looked at Alex, seeing him look a bit shocked. I grabbed his hand and led him back to Pogtopia where Tommy and Wilbur were nowhere to be found. Alex helped me store the rabbits, for now, then we set off to the L'manburg borders. As we walked, I held Alex's hand and he held me close. When we got to the border, he stopped outside it with me and turned to me.

"I'll come to see you within the next few days, I'll try and come see you tomorrow. I'm gonna try and get Schlatt to revoke your exile so you can be back with us. It'll be easier to try and get Tommy and Wilbur back with you here."

"Okay, stay safe Big Q," I said, letting go of his hands and turning to get back to Pogtopia.

"Oh, before you go..."

Alex put his hands on my waist and leaned in for a kiss. I leaned in and connected our lips. It felt as though time had stopped. I pulled away and wrapped my arms around Alex.
