the first morning

{third person}

the alarm clock rang at exactly 6:30 am causing chou to sit up and look to her window. the first day of her second year of high school was about to begin.

shishido chou was fairly excited but also somewhat nervous for the first day of the school year. inarzaki highschool wasn't anything new to her, this was her second year after all. however, she would still be in a new class, have a new teacher, and new classmates. which made her nervous, chou wasn't one to care for change.

she continued to look to her window as her eyes adjusted. 'fantastic, it's pouring outside' she thought as she observed the anticipated typhoon she'd heard about in the news last night. throwing her legs over the side of the bed, she stood up and walked over to the desk in her room. turning the phone alarm off.

"okay it's 6:31 that gives me about two hours to get ready, perfect." she said to herself as she walked over to her bathroom.

chou was a perfectionist and an independent person. she was the girl everyone wanted to work with in school, since her reliability was known. not only was she smart, she also had beautiful features. long dark brown hair which her father begged her not to cut, brown eyes that looked almost hazel in sunlight, and an interesting array of freckles painted on her fair skin. despite her beauty, she had never had a boyfriend. she thought it was unnecessary and would be bothersome since she had big plans for her future.

she turned on the shower and reached for her phone, the song 'objects in the mirror' by mac miller played through the speaker in the bathroom. she wasn't worried about the volume of her music since she lived alone, in an apartment about 15 minutes from her school. she waited for the water to heat and then stepped in, starting to plan out the morning in her head.

'okay i need to finish my shower, do my makeup, do my hair, and then get dressed. oh and it's raining so i'll need to hurry so i can make it to the railway in time. i do not want to walk in the rain.' she thought as she finished her shower.

she had just finished her makeup which consisted of mascara, filling in her eyebrows, blush, highlighter, and concealer for her under eyes. shishido had been told multiple times she 'didn't need makeup' which only irked her since it was something she enjoyed. she did it for herself and no one else.

after finishing her makeup she moved onto hair, blow drying and straightening it as usual. she then proceeded to put her uniform on. the uniform consisted of a white button up top, brown blazer, and a brown and maroon plaid skirt. it was a pretty attractive uniform, of course she would rather wear her own clothes. but the uniform didn't bother her. however, she slightly broke dress code with her own personal touches. she did so with her white ankle socks, small gold hoop earrings, and gold butterfly necklace gifted from her father to her before she moved to the hyōgo prefecture. it was her little piece of home and she cherished it, wearing the necklace everyday.

with finishing getting ready she walked to her kitchen area grabbing her school bag, lunch, and water bottle. shishido tended to only drink water in the mornings, breakfast made her feel nauseous. especially when she had to ride the train to school.

after grabbing all her belongings she slipped her brown leather shoes on and headed to door, grabbing an umbrella on her way out.
