Dylan

He woke up to an empty bed, Dylan's thoughts immediately went to Thomas' absence. His chest filled with an uneasy feeling as he got up and followed the light coming from the bathroom.

As he entered the bathroom he was met with a tragic sight, Thomas was standing in front of the mirror wearing just his pyjama shorts and staring intensely at his own reflection. The sight was tragic since Dylan knew parts of what the boy was thinking, he himself had had those thoughts back in the days. Though Thomas had only told him parts of his struggles Dylan immediately knew that this was part of his depressing thought process during one of his episodes.

Dylan carefully put his arms around Thomas' waist from behind while putting his head on his shoulder glancing at them in the mirror. The broken boy in his arms jumped ever so slightly at the sudden presence in the room. Dylan held back a chuckle, he knew this was a serious problem but he couldn't help but to think of how cute the boy looked when startled.

"How long have you been up?", he asked while carefully studying the pale and exhausted expression on Thomas' face.

"I'm not sure.", the boy's answer worried Dylan. He had known him long enough to know that this was not an uncommon occurrence during one of Thomas' down periods. He just prayed that it wouldn't escalate into something that could be dangerous for the life of the boy he loved.

The remaining of the morning Dylan made sure to make the pair some breakfast containing of banana pancakes, filled with fruit and chocolate. He made this specific breakfast because it was Thomas' favourite, Dylan had made them several times for him, mostly during difficult times. Though through the viewers eye Dylan with the recent events of his breakup might be the one in need of it, he himself knew better. His feelings of betrayal and hurt caused by his now ex-girlfriend would eventually fade, the feelings Thomas had were not new nor were they temporary. It was something Dylan knew that the boy had dealt with for the majority of his life and he was determined to help him regardless of his own mental state.

He would eventually have to deal with his own problems but he felt that it could wait, he always did.
