A tree yields fruits. And not all fruits are sweet. Some are devoid of taste like the dragonfruit. While some are sour. So does depression lead to body issues, the after-effects.
Some of which include:
Anorexia nervosa aka conscious starvation.
Bulimia nervosa aka binge eating while wallowing in pain.
Anhedonia aka lack of pleasure in day-to-day activities.
Fatigue i.e., your body feels exhausted easily.
Irregular bowel movement: constipation and diarrhoea.
Insomnia aka sleeplessness.
Issues with digestion.
Body pains.
Migraine.
Curbs your appetite.
Diminishes your libido aka sexual drive.
Back pain.
High blood pressure.
Easily irritable.
Say, you have a lemon tree growing in your garden & overtime you grew tired of it. Now you wanna get rid of it, would you strike at the root or pluck the fruit? If you choose to pluck, no matter how many fruits you pluck, they'll grow back. But if you uproot it, you're done with it for good.
Same goes with depression. No matter how much medication you take to die down the physical(bodily) symptoms, they will bounce back. Strike at the root, i.e., depression.
