(Yagi Toshinori "ALL MIGHT" POV)
Last year, I met three boys. One was in an abusive household, the other has a hero as a father, the third one got involve in a villain incident and defeated the villain by himself with the heroes just standing in the sidelines. All three are made my choices but I can only choose one.
Izuku Aizawa, the son of Eraserhead. I met him a year ago before the new semester starts. The boy just kept on improving and improving and showed hero potential that I had back then. Despite being a mini Shota Aizawa, he still knows how to smile and assure people they can count on him. But his nature of being manipulative can be scary. Not that I doubt his aim to be a hero, it's actually great that a genius can help the world. It's because unintentionally, I heard a conversation.
Izuku and Eraserhead were talking in a lone teachers' lounge. The kid wanted to be an underground hero, hide behind the shadow of the famous and well known, to infiltrate crime groups, act, then arrest them with no public record on him.
He believes that he can stop many crimes as possible with that situation. No joining agencies but still gets payed by the government. So that's why I was hesitant. The kid has a clear path in mind, giving him responsibility and giving him a choice like this would be hard on him. Plus, I don't know how Shota would take the news if he learned about the risks of having my quirk.
A month or two later, A villain attack occurred. I managed to catch it the first time but it escaped my grasp. Consequently leading us to the events of sludge incident where a middle schooler beat the villain with his own power.
Katsuki Bakugou, according to the stories before I was there.. A boy from a private school was taken hostage. While the villain was suffocating the boy, heroes around did nothing claiming that their quirks weren't compatible with the situation. Katsuki couldn't stand it any longer. He ran to save the boy and used his explosion to stop the villain. Making him popular to the public.
I met with the boy afterwards.. I only asked why he saved the boy. He said, "I had a friend, I don't know where he is or what's happening with him.. I don't even know if he is alive. Even though he was quirkless he is heroic and showed me how a real hero acts. Aside from promising to be the best hero for him, My body moved on my own.."
Whoever taught this boy his ideals, Made a great person for a hero, despite having anger issues that I soon learned ten months later in UA.
I met the third boy, two months before the entrance exams of UA. His Father is abusive and a villain who worked in a small time villain organization. His other died a week later in a mysterious car accident.
Hitoshi Shinsou, We did investigations on the members of the organization. Even though they're not as big as the new League of Villains, they are still dangerous and Tsukauchi requested me to watch the father while patrolling the area. The boy and the mother was abused, the mother showed signs of unstableness mentally. Hitoshi stood up for her mother many times ending up getting hurt instead.
It also seemed that Hitoshi was being discriminated by his father and other people about his quirk. Calling it villainous and stuff. I sighed at the thought that society creates villains too.
We soon took away the father, arrested him along with his group.
The next thing was a car crash. A rare thing now a days. Histoshi's mother had a mental quirk like all other Aizawas. She can show illusions in a time where she activates her quirk before blinking, making the case hard to solve. The illusion not only affected everyone around but also the CCTV cameras around the area.
No matter how much we replayed the situation, we ended up putting it on homicide. The kind man on the other car was about to be arrested. Before that could happen, HItoshi Shinsou showed himself.
.
.
"It was suicide." He stated with a sad expression, before fully tearing up. "don't.. arrest the man.. he.. did.. nothing wrong.." He said in between sobs. Hitoshi confirmed us the story, we put him in therapy and did good just before the entrance exams. We learned that he was Eraserhead's nephew. He ended up in the GenEd course.
I admired the boy. He didn't give in to society's wrongs.. he didn't give in to the notion of him will end up in villainy. And he tries his hardest to be a hero despite the discrimination. The bravery, his bravery of telling something like that before anyone else could suffer. I figured he learnt it when he should've said something about his father. Telling us everything must've been too much for him.

"Izuku and Hitoshi.. both dream of being underground heroes and has a clear mind in following it. Katsuki Bakugou, he learned his ideals from young Izuku. Which was surprisingly similar to mine." He chuckled before continuing again. "Young Bakugou will be my new successor. He strives to be the best hero and has the potential to become the symbol of peace." Gran Torino couldn't really do anything but he did see what Toshinori sees in the boy.
"Then, we have your successor." Torino smiled.
