Izuku Aizawa (Dadzawa)

Chapter 17: One on one battles

(Third POV)

Izuku was eating some snacks he brought from the stands. He's with Todoroki, Inasa, and Hitoshi. Every people who stared at them probably was thinking how different Izuku was now from an hour ago. Yes, he's reverted back to his childish self. Not the competitive genius tyrant he was earlier. People look at them like, "What happened?" "I swear those three have fear in their eyes earlier." "is he even the same person?" most people murmur among themselves. Izuku is giving off Akashi Kuroko no basket vibes.

Break time would end soon, official one on one battles will start after the unofficial ones. The teachers held unofficial ones for those who didn't make it to the official ones. That was redundant, but point is.. This is a school sports festival. Everyone should be given a chance to enjoy.

The students who played unofficial matches are finally done, and it's time for the qualifiers to enter the stadium. Overall there are sixteen students, if the pairing are as Izuku predicted.. He and his friends should go head on head at the end.

"Welcome to the official final Event of this sports festival!!!" Greeted Midnight. The crowd cheered as they want to see how strong quirks are gonna go against each other. Unfortunately, some won't be able to show off their quirks. Midnight went over with the rules again before everything else.

"LET'S CALL ON FROM THIS SIDE, HERO COURSE IZUKU!!" Present Mic announced to the crowd as the greenette run out the tunnel like entrance. "FROM CLASS B HERO COURSE, JUZO HONENUKI!!!" the class b boy entered the center stadium. Honenuki, his quirk is softening. Earlier, Izuku saw him soften the ground making it look like having a quick sand on the floor. He teamed up with Kendo, Tetsutetsu, and Ibara Shiozaki. Earning them the third spot for qualifiers.

Honenuki could easily win by sticking his opponent to the ground by using his softening. But, that wasn't the case. Just as the signal went, both boys immediately activated their quirk. Juzo was sure he'll get the greenette, to his surprise, no quick sand effect happened. "W-w-what??" the looks of his quirk not activating made him stammer in shock. He looked at Izuku,

'he was just smiling like a child a few seconds ago?! What the hell happened?!!' he thought as Izuku was now reverted to the confident bastard. "Sorry.." he heard the greenette. Izuku was grinning his spine chilling grin almost compared to Shota and Nezu. ".. But, I fight hand on hand combat in equal stands." he finished.

"IZUKU AIZAWA IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED HIS OPPONENT'S QUIRK!! EXPECTED FROM THE SON OF THE UNDERGROUND HERO ERASERRRHEAD!!" Mic commented as the commentator he is. "what's the point of being an underground hero if you're gonna announce me to world?" the sleepy voice of Izuku's father was heard again in the background.

"ERASERR HAS A SON!?!" Another green head shouted from the crowd. Miss Joke. She gave a defeated look easily seen by everybody. Put that aside, everyone was now focused on the match. One on one combat, unfortunately for Honenuki, he relies on his effectively long range quirk too much than close combat. He lost the round by Izuku cornering him out of bounds. Call Izuku a cruel mastermind but he's not that cruel to knock down a 'weak', at least for now, opponent off. Izuku did hope that Honenuki realized that he lacked quirkless training.

If his opponent realized it then Izuku deemed him to be a strong opponent next year. Basically the greenette made his way up by fighting without a quirk and winning by combat fighting which most of his opponents lack. Hitoshi happened to win by combat if his quirk didn't work.. But it mostly worked. The purple head was good at logical ruse and riling people up to their core.

Inasa used his strong whirlwind push his opponents out of bounds. Shoto mostly stuck with the freezing your enemy in place plan. Making the four the last contenders in the event.

Hitoshi is in the locker rooms thinking of what he can use against Todoroki in his next fight. He was nervous, if he manage to win this round, it will be enough for him to move to the hero course. Of course Izuku, Inasa, and Shoto helped him reach his placing there but the three also expects his own effort and drive. Of course they will not hold back on Hitoshi, they may want him in the hero course but they also wanted to win and show off their pride. 'Sigh.. Those three...' Hitoshi thought.

While trying to think, Izuku was kinda interested in someone's quirk. Shiozaki. The green head girl said her quirk was named Vines.
It's a strong quirk, she knows how to use it well. If Izuku would go up against her with a different quirk, Izuku was sure that there's a higher possibility of her winning.

'She knows how to strategize with it as well, like how she used it as shield from Denki's quirk. ......' more muttering came from Izuku. His classmates couldn't help but poke at his shoulder and give him a laugh. "Izu-kun, you're muttering again.." called Ochako. "Oh.. Sorry." he said. "It's not everyday I get to see other classes' quirks."

"Well that makes sense." Iida said. His phone went ringing after like on cue.
"I'm sorry, I have to take this." he excused himself and went to a quieter place away from the crowd and arena.

Izuku and Isao are now sitting together waiting for the next match to start. Izuku then started analyzing both sides. 'Shoto has an Ice quirk, he'll probably overuse it if he doesn't catch Hitoshi. He'll be forced to use his fire side, but I doubt that he'll do that. As for Toshi, he has good reflexes and if used right, the capture tape would be great of help. He could easily avoid Shoto's ice attacks, overtime Shoto would probably tire himself and slow down... Having Shoto talk would be less of a chance....' of course, more muttering after that, Inasa just let him be. He didn't mind, at least he'll understand the match better. But I doubt it's the same for the others.

Finally his mutterings stopped as Present Mic called Hitoshi and Shoto.
"BEGIN!!" Midnight said pulling her whip down.

As expected, Shoto sent ice to Hitoshi. Everyone expected Shoto to win as this match continued with him attacking and Hitoshi dodging successfully. His right side is starting to show frostbites, Izuku sighed from the sidelines.. "He'll never win like this." Izuku said. Most people around are confused whether he's talking about Hitoshi or Todoroki. "Hitoshi.. Has a lot of stamina and great parkour reflexes. He can go on all day, and it has only been five minutes.." Izuku said. Catching the attention of not only the students but also the heroes sitting near. "He's trained to endure fights and dodging to survive a whole week even without sleep, right now, he can only do a day but that achievement itself is already wonderful. Shochan on the other hand isn't giving his all and chose to use only one of his powers. His weakness is starting show from the beginning." Izuku said, some agreed and some didn't.

The fight was rather boring for Izuku, he couldn't help but interfere..
