Fans Are Clingy

“I’m hungry.” Green groaned, his stomach growling loudly as he and Red walked down the boardwalk towards the boat.

“Then eat.” Green’s eye twitched at Red’s blunt answer before he looked around at the booths, going over to buy a few chips while Red just stayed in the middle of the walk way.

“Oh my Arceus! It’s the champion!” Red’s ear twitched and his hooded eyes lazily shifted over to two girls around his age running towards him. One was blonde while the other had bright red hair, both wearing sun dresses with Pokémon trailing at their feet. It was a Growlithe and a Vulpix, both having a different colored bow on their ears.

“Are you really Red?” The blonde one asked, looking up at him with wide blue eyes, wrapping her arms around his left one. She was pressing herself against him but Red barely took notice, nodding.

“You’re sooo cool! I wish me and my Growlithe was as strong as you! Ain’t that right, Blitz?” The red head said, turning to the fire Pokémon who, in turn, barked happily with its tail wagging. She then was hugging Red’s other arm while the Champion was staring blankly off towards the boat, paying no mind to the clingy girls.

Meanwhile, Green was watching from the booth about ten feet away with two bags of chips in his hands. He was watching Red through narrowed eyes, seeing how he barely acknowledged the two females rubbing against him. He felt an irk mark appear on his head as the blonde one reached up to poke Red’s cheek, an innocent look on her face as she asked him something. Unfortunately for her, Green was used to seeing girls like this and knew that she had some type of ploy to get Red to be hers. He’d seen it before, after all, seeing as he was the Viridian City Gym Leader and past Champion – even if not a lot of people knew of the latter seeing as it was ripped away so fast.

Green shook his head, shoving the memories away after feeling a pang in his heart as an image of his beloved Raticate flashed in front of his mind. Now’s not the time to think about that. He thought, heading over to Red and the two girls with an angry look on his face, emerald eyes blazing.

“Oi, you two! Get the hell off him!” The two girls turned at his voice, frowning as they looked over him before the redhead’s eyes brightened and she was suddenly attached to his arm instead.

“Aren’t you Green? The Viridian City Gym leader?” Green’s eyes widened, staring down at the girl as a faint blush appeared on his cheeks.

“Um….yeah?”

“Oh my Arceus, Lily! We’re so lucky today!” The redhead cried, glancing over at the blonde girl as she continued clutching onto Green. The brunet was scowling, looking down at her in annoyance while Red had shifted his gaze over to him, an amused smirk tugging at his lips.

Green’s head lifted and he glared at Red, seeing his amusement. “This isn’t fucking funny. Now get off me, whoever you are.” Green ordered, his gaze switching back down to the redhead and tugging his arm away. The girl pouted, suddenly hugging him instead. Green blinked in surprise before his eyes narrowed again and he started struggling to get away from the tight grasp around his torso.

Red, meanwhile, was watching the two in amusement. Sure, the blonde’s arm around his own was annoying but it was something he was used to. Unfortunately for the girl though, he didn’t even seem to notice her, completely ignoring the fact that his hand was brushing against her lower stomach.

The girl noticed though, and her face had turned red at the feeling. Violet is right, we are so lucky today. She thought.

“Red, don’t we have to get to the boat?” Green asked, finally holding the redhead at arm’s length as she tried to hug him again.
