After the Call
Stella's point of view
We had just gotten back from the call, it wasn't anything big so it didn't take too long. I think I have learned all the guys name on my truck which is good. But at the scene I didn't really work with or see the guy, I don't even know his name, how am I even suppose to tell him that he has a daughter? This is definitely not how I thought my first day would be.

I got interrupted by my thoughts when Brett came up to me. "Hey do you want to come inside, I can give you a tour?" she asked. "Yeah totally" I said while following her inside.

Brett showed me around the firehouse, we ended the tour in the bunk room. "So this is the bunk room, you can chose a bunk and get settled. Back here are the officers quarters. The one on the left is Captain Casey's and the one on the right is Lieutenant Severide's." she said. I nodded then asked "Has Lieutenant Severide worked here long?" "Longer than me, and I have worked here for about 6 years. Do you got your eye on him or something?" she asked with a smile. "Oh no totally not." I said with a slight smile. "Okay good because Kelly can be the player type" Brett said with a laugh. I let out a small laugh and then the door to the bunk room opened and in came Lieutenant Severide. "I'll let you get settled" Brett said. "Thanks again for the tour" I said.

Lieutenant Severide walked past me to get to his office, I wasn't planning on saying anything to him but then he spoke up. "I didn't know you were a firefighter." Then there was a slight pause. "I don't know if you remember, it was awhile ago. I met you at a bar, we went back to my place" he said as I slightly cut him off. "Yeah, it's was about a year ago, that night is sort of a blur but I remember parts of it." I said. "You know I have never forgotten you. In fact you were on my mind for months after we met. But you left in the morning before I was up and then I never saw you again. And all I had was your name. Stella, the girl with the beautiful curls." He said with a smile. We were interrupted by Otis when he walked in and said "Hey Kidd, Casey wants to run some drills with us" "Okay. Yeah I'll be right out." I said.

I went out on the apparatus floor and we all ran drills for about an hour before going in and cleaning up. Everyone was just sitting in the common room when Hermann spoke up and said, "So Kidd tell us about yourself? What house were you at before 51?"

"Well I was at 87 before 51 but that was about a year ago, I have been off for some time." I said. I didn't want to tell them about Kiah because I feel like Kelly should know first. "Did you get injured on the job? Is that why you were off?" Otis asked. "oh no. no injuries just some personal stuff I had to take care of." I said. "Oh Kidd you should stop by Molly's one night" Otis said. "What's Molly's?" I asked. "It's a great bar, that just happens to be owned by Hermann and I." Otis said. "Don't listen to Otis, it's not a great bar it's the best bar in Chicago. Tell you what. Come by tomorrow night and your first drink will be on the house." Hermann said. "Hermann giving out free drinks, that never happens. Kidd you better take him up on that while you still can." Foster said. Everyone laughed. "I wish I could but I have plans tomorrow night." I said. "I'll take that free drink" Mouch said raising his hand while sitting down on the couch. Everyone laughed

Nobody's point of view
It was night time and everyone was in their bunks. Stella couldn't sleep, she was missing Kiah. She sat on her bed staring at a picture that she was holding of her precious baby girl. Severide was up doing paperwork, when he looked over his shoulder he could see Stella up smiling. This brought a smile to his face. Even though he didn't even know her he felt like he did.

It was the next morning and everyone was getting ready to leave. Brett and Foster were waking out and talking when they got interrupted by Severide who was trying to catch up to them. "Hey did you guys see Stella?" He asked. Brett and Foster gave each other a look then Foster said, "I saw her head out about 10 minutes ago" "Damn it. Thanks guys" Severide said as he walked off to his car. "Well that was weird" Foster said. "Right. But actually Stella was asking about him earlier while I was giving her the tour." Brett said. "Well something's obviously going on there" Foster said with a laugh and a curious face. "Totally" Brett said.
