A/N: Okay, so this one is a bit... Weird I guess, but it's actually one my favorites, so, let me know what you thought about it!

So, apparently, Rachel Berry had decided to tell Mr. Schue that none of the kids in the glee club were actually doing the vocal warm ups correctly — or any of the activities that Mr. Schue gave them, for that matter.

"I am very disappointed in you guys." The teacher said, holding in his hand a list of names that Berry, the snitch had given him.

"I can't believe you narced on us." Finn said, as Rachel scoffed.

"Don't get mad at me for exposing your laziness. I'm tired of carrying all of your weight." She said, as Emily rolled her eyes. "Regionals is in a month, guys."

"I'm just trying to understand what's going on here." Mr. Schue interrupted, before a proper fight could ensue. "Finn, why did you stop singing?"

"Cause you started giving all the male leads to Jesse." He retorted. "It kind of shook my confidence, y'know?"

"Now you know how it feels never getting a solo, huh?" Emily spat, also putting forward her own insatisfaction with the club, considering she was never even considered for a lead. So why bother trying anyway?

"What difference does it make?" Santana scoffed. "Everyone knows that my job here is to look hot."

"My baby hormones are making me moody." Quinn mumbled, also very unimpressed.

"There are so many lyrics." Brittany mumbled.

"Okay. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. A glee club is about a myriad of voices coming together as one, alright? This ends now." Mr. Schue decided. "Which is why your assignment for the week is for each of you to come up with a song that best represents how you see yourself, where you are in your lives right now. Your voice. Then you're going to stand up here and sing your hearts out. All of you."

"Solos?" Kurt asked, his whole face lighting up at the mere prospect of having a solo this time around. "In front of everyone?"

"The Glee Club has lost its voice." Mr. Schue said, after nodding at Kurt. "It's time for us to get it back."

"Alright, guys." Mr. Schue said, as he started the next glee lesson. "Let's get things started."

Wasting no time to stand up, Rachel made her way to the middle of the room.

"As I was first on the sign-up sheet, I'll kick things off." She said, as Mr. Schue nodded, giving her the floor.

"Okay."

"I have chosen Miley Cyrus's The Climb because it's about overcoming obstacles and beating the odds." Rachel explained, glaring at all the kids in front of her who seemed less than impressed by her theatricals. "In my case, the obstacle is you, my lackluster teammates who refuse to carry their own weight."

Emily rolled her eyes yet again, but sat back in her chair to enjoy the performance, considering she actually really enjoyed the song and, as much as she hated to admit it, Berry had a great voice to listen to. Not this time, though. Surprising everyone in the room, as soon as Rachel opened her mouth to sing, a shrill sound came out causing Emily to flinch in surprise and cringe a bit as Rachel continued singing, sounding worse and worse with each passing second of her performance. She hadn't even reached the first chorus when Mr. Schue decided it was time to intervene and stood up, walking up to Rachel when the band stopped playing.

"Rachel. I think you've lost your voice."

So, for this assignment, Finn had apparently decided to take a very harsh and blunt approach on his obvious crush on Rachel, singing Jessie's Girl while making straight eye contact with her throughout the number, even going as far as circle the girl around in her chair as she sat there, clearly uncomfortable, having a boy sing so openly to her and about her while dating somebody else — that luckily for everyone involved, wasn't there to watch the whole thing unfold.
