It had been two months since I had last seen him. A part of me was hoping he would come, but I wasn't sure what I really wanted so I just let it go. I was called to work last month since I was as good as new but I told them that I needed time. A little surprising even for me.
I started going out more, meeting new people and simply having a good time. I even volunteered for a kids cancer foundation since I loved anything with healthcare. I figured it was the closest I was going to get to the dream I had. I was meeting Hayley and Lexi more, they even tried setting me up with a friend but I said no, even before they could do something.
Weekdays were spent at the foundation and weekends in coffee shops and gardens. I read a lot more, and even started a gym membership to keep in shape. For the first time in my life I felt like I had other things to do, other things I enjoyed. My job wasn't my life anymore, I was truly living each day. Hayley voice snapped me out of my thoughts "What should I order guys?" She asked sitting on her couch. "Chinese I have been craving it really bad" said Lexi. She was now four months pregnant, the bump was starting to show. She even started glowing like they always say it was beautiful. "Okay Chinese it is" said Hayley.
April and her were on a break since last month. Both of them wanted to first find jobs and figure stuff out for themselves. By the time we finish our food it was already nine. "Uggh its a Saturday night and look at us. So boring." Whined Lexi, she was on some mood swings lately. "Right okay we are going out" said Hayley. "What no" I said getting up. "Come on, you don't even have work so we are going. That it" said Lexi and got up walking towards her room. "Come ladies we are not going looking like that.
We were all sitting dressed up in the car driving towards the club. I was wearing a red tube dress, it was the most modest thing I could find in Hayley's closet along with some of her sister nude heels. Lexi found and over sized black shirt dress and paired it up with some white sneakers. Hayley on the other hand was wearing a tight black body con dress with fishnet tights and her favorite leather jacket and black boots. I still wonder how we become friends.

Hayley was now on her fourth shot and I was on my third. I don't think I have drank like this since a house party in highschool. Lexi was happy sipping on her soda while talking care of us. She told us to have fun for the night. "Let's dance!" Said Hayley and pulled me towards the floor. We dance for the next four songs, and really had fun. Looking behind I saw Lexi making out and grinding on a girl. Her dark hair was really thick and curly. Her chocolate skin seemed to be glowing with l the warm bodies around. I just smiled and danced again.
Opening my eyes again I looked up and thought I saw the same piercing eyes for the balcony. When I looked again they were gone. Was it him? Was he here? I asked my self. No it's the alcohol nothing more. I thought and brushed it off.
After a long night Lexi drove me home and and left. The alcohol still having an effect on my body. Hayley went home with the girl she was dancing with. Now all I needed was a nice shower.
