Once I was out of the cell I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I really did want to seem tough..but did I over do it? I honestly don't know. But he wasn't like the other criminals I had met, he was clam and collected. Like he was one step ahead of everyone.
But I would be fair to he and everyone else around. Abide by the law and do what's right. Cause in the end no one was born bad it was just the choices they made.
After that I went straight to the office and filled out some paperwork, even looked at his sentence. He would be out in six months but till then he was stuck here. By the time I got back to the cell my shift was over. "Goodnight officer" I said to the guard before locking eyes with him through the glass window and walked away.
Getting into my car I decided to treat myself to some junk food. So I stopped at Taco Bell and got some unhealthy but heavenly food.
After reaching home I was greated by my cat Marge and went straight into the kitchen to give her food. She was always the highlight of my day after coming from work. I set my alarm for a little early than usual, since it was my first day. With my junk food I get comfortable in bed and check my phone for any messages from my best friends Hayley and Lexi. I wasn't on any social media, didn't really find the need. So I just checked my group chat before falling of asleep.
Both of them had been friends since school. Hayley was with me on the cheer team and Lexi was with us in kindergarten. After highschool everyone kind of drifted off but the three of us tried our best to stay in touch. Lexi was the first to get married to her high school boyfriend Zack. Hayley came out in college, she was bisexual and had a really nice girlfriend she met in college.
On the other hand, My mother and brother were back home in Mexico since their visa hadn't come. But that never happened because in my senior year they were found shot in out family home. The case was never solved, That changed my father forever. Some say it was a gang who killed them. If that never happened, I would have gone to med school to be a nurse. Not that I never wanted to be a cop. I like both but I wanted to be a nurse more.
Xavier's pov
"I want her file now, send one to Romeo as well. Everything her family, friends, home all of it." I told the night guard once the cameras in my cell were hacked into.
She was one of the few cops who couldn't be bought. Otherwise she would have been on my pay roll now. The office told me that her father was the in the best in the field, even got a medal for bravery. She was definitely not American, her features were more Latina.
Five hours later the cell door opened and a file was placed in front of me and a cigarette was lit in my hand. Opening the file, I saw all her details. First name was Adrianna , grew up in Mexico before moving her with her father. Mother and brother killed in Mexico before they come to the states. Suspect for murder was a Mexican gang. Topper of her training class, cheer leader in highschool. Two best friends Lexi and Hayley also from school. Before applying to police school she got into the UCLA nursing and healthcare program even got a scholarship. Lived there in a small apartment with an adopted cat Marge. She was smart, her social security number and bank details were here too.
But what intrigued me the most was that out of all the women I knew she was the only one who threatened me or even tried other that my aunt Grace. She had beauty too not like the others I was constantly surrounded with, selfish whores with personalities as fake as their tits. Her beauty was pure, hell she even looked flawless in that crappy uniform.
The only question was how could I get her on my side, there was no escaping her for another five months. Might as well get a smart cop working for me. The first step was to really understand how she thinks, one thing was certain she wouldn't let her guard down easily. Well at least I has something else to do other that think about the fucking Russians.
