The group walk up a long, steep and windy path. Natsu and Gray bicker, constantly throwing insults at each other.
"Panda Boy," Natsu growls.
"Snot Nosed Little Brat," Gray snaps,
"Dirty Slime Ball."
"Mouth Breather."
They stop throwing insults to each other as they reach the uncomfortably tall house a far distant from the main town. Gray looks down at the paper and then back up at the house making sure they have the right address. The village houses look like they house ants in comparison. Number twenty-three is a huge white mansion with three semi-circle balconies and gold painted handrails. Everyone looks up in astonishment. They gulp loudly and all silently make a pact not to break anything.
Erza rings the doorbell. Footsteps and locks are turned. The large white painted wooden door swing open to reveal a short looking man. He has white skin and massive ears. Wrinkles line the underneath of his green eyes and cheeks. He wears a black tux with a white business shirt underneath. He looks up at his guests. "You must be Fairy Tail." He steps to the side and motions for them to walk inside. "My name is Riku." The team walks inside. They can see their reflections in the newly polished marble tiles.
"Hello, I'm Erza," she introduces and outstretched her hand for Riku to shake in which he does.
"It's very nice to meet you all" - he nods at everyone standing behind Erza - "but we don't have extra time to waste," Riku's voice became stern. He walks away and urges the others to follow him. Riku pushes open a pair of double doors to reveal a massive lounge room. The floor is wooden and two white couches sit opposite each other with a glass table to separate them. The walls are piled with books. "Right this way." Riku walks over to the couches and sits down on the farthest one. Erza, Lucy, Wendy, Carla and Happy sit down on the opposite couch while Natsu and Gray are left to suffer with standing. Natsu wants to argue with Erza about switching spots but something about Riku's aura stops him.
"What exactly are we trying to find, sir?" Lucy asks.
"You're trying to find a dark orange star artefact that's called the Appelios. It's stored in a ruin in the middle of the forest In Frasherd but it's aura has disappeared. I can't tell you much, but the Appelios is very dangerous. When you find it, I want you to return it immediately. You need to check all the surrounding area," Riku sternly orders. He pulls out a folded piece of paper from his pocket and hands it to Erza. "This here is a map to where the ruin and the Appelios should be. Sorry for how small it is."
The team follows Riku out to the main room and to the entrance doors. "Be safe!" Riku shouts after them.
Natsu's team walks down the steep hill. Natsu and Gray's bickering is giving Lucy a headache. "Shut up! You're giving me a pounding headache!" Lucy shouts.
"I agree. Your fighting is very annoying," Erza says, obviously annoyed at Gray and Natsu. At hearing Erza's voice, they stop their fighting and instead give each other deadly glares.
"Natsu! I'm hungry!" Happy cries from below Natsu.
"Then when we get back to the village we can go and eat," Natsu reasons with Happy's hungry stomach. Everyone feels droplets of water from above land on them. They look up and see the grey clouds directly above them.
"Oh shit," Lucy mumbles. "We're going to get rained on! Everyone, run!" She starts to run down the road, the water starting to hit hard and more frequent. Soon, everyone follows Lucy. It starts pouring by the time they make it back to the hotel. Just their luck. They have to get rained on now. They all stand in the lobby, dripping in water. "Well now what? We can't do this job in the rain," Lucy complains. Natsu's body starts steaming and the water starts to evaporating.
