Lotus: The Waterbender Far Away From Home

Chapter 5

"Ura, my name is Ura. How.. how did I end up here?"

"We should be asking you that question. Why are you here?" The man with the intimidating glare said. 

Clearly, this was the bizarre world that I have landed upon. People with the most odd of looking clothes. I still do not get the attire of this man with the glare. Like seriously, I am sure there was a better option of clothing than underwear on top of tights. And the weird beeping coming from a box with lines on it, along with the weird clear door. Oh dear, this is going to take so time to get used to. And apparently I didn't notice the first time, that I have handcuffs around my hands chained to the bed. Well isn't this kinky. 

"I- I guess you could say, I traveled here, but this is not like anything I have ever seen before.  Everything is so........different." I said. The man only grunted to my response. His expression calculating and deep in thought. Who was this man?

"Well that explains how you don't know who the Justice League are. And if you are wondering, the guy with the glare is Batman, " Kid Flash added.

"From what you have told me, Robin and Kid Flash, the Justice League is like a team of Avatars. I miss Korra,  I miss my family, " I said but I mumbled the last part. 

Kid Flash's ears perked up when I talked about the Avatar part. Clearly, he was curious about that as he asked " What is an Avatar?" I forgot that being in a different world, my world's knowledge isn't prevalent.  I went on to tell them what the Avatar is. That the Avatar is the protector of my world, someone who brings balance and peace to the chaos and destructions of the world. Which bring to the question.

"Where the hell am I?" 

"Why don't you go see yourself?" Kid Flash said. He walked over next to the bed and started to reach for the handcuff that bounded my hand, until Batman decided to step in. 

"You'll be able to roam around, but with Robin and Kid Flash. There will be none by yourself. Understood?" It was obvious that this man didn't trust me, which I wouldn't blame him. I mean I would be suspicious if some random person just popped out of nowhere and decided to crash in. He was already being lenient by allowing me to roam around this place, even though I am just a stranger. I could only guess that he deemed me not much of a threat. A quick nod I gave him and he swiftly walked out the door leaving me with Robin and Kid Flash. The two children looked at each having a silent conversation with their eyes and gestures. Until finally Kid Flash spoke, " Alrighty then, let me give a small tour of the infamous Justice League base. A private tour that is." 

Robin who had been quiet most of the time, decided to cut in, "Dude, I am still here and don't you think she is more underwhelmed than a person should be?" 

"Underwhelmed?" I asked. If the clothing weren't difficult enough, now had to learn new words?

Their eyes turned to me, eyes shocked with surprise. They didn't expect me to hear that didn't they? Haha, children are adorable.
