Your hands found their way across his waist--wrapping the long tape across his body. His height seemed mesmerizing to you; an elongated shadow, looming over your smaller frame, as you recorded the numbers from the tape, onto your notepad. It was just the two of you in the room. You were working with one other of your coworkers, but they had an errand to run, so you were left alone to work for the time being. Each of your other crew mates had gone to get any other missing materials, and the rest had already started on the other member's measurements in a separate room. So it really was just the two of you.

The band-man hummed as he watched you write up his measurements. A cat-like grin, eminent on his thin lips. "Do you like your job, miss (y/n)?" he asked.

Your head shot up. Locking eyes with his blue-ish purple ones. You were surprised with his question, as it came nearly out of nowhere. But nonetheless, you say, "of course. It's what I'm passionate about." You smiled.

His eyes seemed to glimmer when he saw that smile of yours-taking out the lollipop he had between his lips to say, "what wonderful news!" he blurted. "That must mean you're happy with it, no? Seeing you humans so happy...it makes me want to work hard even more." His voice almost had a silky consistency to it. Slow-speaking, with a relaxed demeanor. Comforting.

The band-man plopped himself down on the chair after you finished the final measurement. Arms wide open and spinning around on it's wheels. His black hair, flowing along with it's yellow highlights. You only watched intently as he continued to nibble on his candy and beam like a child. Finding yourself confused, yet mesmerized at whatever this bassist was thinking. "Whatever do you mean, Akebono?"

"Ryo is fine."

"Ah, well...Ryo, what do you mean by that?"

He waved his grape lollipop at you; face lighting up like the stars, "ya' see, miss (y/n), I'm an alien," he explained nonchalantly. "I come from a different planet. Far away from Earth."

No way, you thought. He must be joking. But you kept quiet. Intrigued on what else this strange musician had to say.

He continued, "The reason why I'm in Gyroaxia, is because I have to make people happy. Only until I've made many people happy, is when I have finally repaid for the sins I have committed. Then and only then, will I finally be able to return to my home planet." At that moment, his innocent grin seemed to be contagious. Despite whatever nonsense he was saying.

And yet, you found yourself slightly entranced in his little self-introduction. You pull yourself up to one of the sturdy wooden tables, and watched as he would continue to spin. Feeling a bit curious, yet sorry to what he had said.

"What else is there in your planet, Ryo?"

Ryo stopped and grinned up at you. "There are flying snails, of the sort. The pink ones were always my favorite! And since we don't have a sun there unlike here, we get to stargaze whenever we want! It's really all so sparkly and pretty, miss (y/n)."

You giggled, swinging your feet and smiling back at the bassist. "Sounds like a lovely place, Ryo. But...which one do you like better? Here or back home?"

He pushed the candy away from his mouth with a popping sound-putting a finger onto his sharp chin and staring at the ceiling, deep in thought. Before meeting with your eyes again and saying, "well, I do like Earth. It's so fun here with Kenken and the rest, but I still wanna go back." The bassist paused briefly, before beaming and spinning on the chair again. "Someday...someday, I wanna go stargaze in my home planet again. I wanna see the stars up close like back home.

After that, there was nothing but an empty silence. To you, it almost seemed sad. Obviously, it was fake, but something about Ryo's little story, almost seemed half-true to you. It made you sorrowful as to why he would ever refer to his past in such a gloomy metaphor. Maybe. Just maybe, there was something more beyond this strange Gyroaxia member.

"Ryo?"

He sat up to the sound of your voice. "Hm?"

"There is one spot I know of here in Tokyo for stargazing. It may not look like your home planet, but I'm sure it'll have the same effect. Which would be perfect timing because the sky tonight will be clea-

the sound of a rapidly moving chair zooming at you, interrupted your sentence as Ryo rolled over to the desk you were sitting at. "Ah! Then...then I'll go! I wanna see! Where is it?"

Ryo's face was in literal awestruck. Eyes gleaming like they were the stars that he so badly wanted to see. That blue-purple hue, sparkling with such child-like excitement.

"Ah..it's just by the bridge. It's near the venue actually. You guys should have passed it while driving here."

"Will you come with me then? Let's...go stargazing (y/n)."
